ccoker
I have been wanting an AR10 for a while. the bug hits me then goes away.. It bit hard and took hold when I saw first picture of the Wilson Combat AR10. I own one WC 1911 and two ARs, a 5.56 and 6.8, so, I know the quality and attention to detail with their gear. I decided to go with the 18" fluted and 14" handguard and I already had planned to do my next AR with the receiver set and handguard in brown with everything else being black, so a quick email to WC and I had it ordered. I picked this up Friday from my FFL, the SilencerShop in Austin. It feels very light (for an AR10) and very balanced, even with the very light buttstock on it. I took it out over the weekend for a quick function test. I wasn't too concerned about group size as it was cold and windy and I am not 100% sure this is the optic I will run long term. Initial shots were within 3/4" with Barnes 168 Vortex. I have a Mark6 3-18 showing up today I plan to try on it as well. I am running my Templar Tactical Archangel on it though it might get switched out for the Nemesis30 which is much shorter, just not as quiet. I hope to get it on Wednesday to stretch it's legs to 1K and then hunt for 4 days starting Friday. I will also get a chance to do some real group testing with various ammo. The gun ran 100% with and without the can and there was zero gas blowback in my face. I would say they got the gas port and buffer setup tuned right.
