Not my favorite load, but if I tell you what powder I'm using everyone will want to try it and I'll suddenly find it hard to get. Ok, ok... I have been using AA#7 for years in my comped .45s and it gives me great accuracy and great comp performance. Just made a batch for my new .38S with 115gr lead bullets. Alvin1911 Posted January 5, 2015 Share Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) Im running 3n38 9.0g behind 124 cmj (9major). Full length svi barrel with 3 popple holes/titanuim comp gives me 174 pf. TerryO Posted March 9, 2015 Share Posted March 9, 2015 (edited) I haven't seen anyone mention IMR4756 which I've been using for around 4 or 5 years now. Very clean, easily makes major, meters great, never have to worry about a double charge in .38sc because it's almost a scoop and scrape compressed load. Alas... It's been discontinued along with 7625 but I've still got around 60lbs so I'll be good for awhile but when it's gone???
