Slidestop
Why does your "U" die not work with your Square Deal? What problems are you running into?
rtp
Why does your "U" die not work with your Square Deal? What problems are you running into? The SDB has proprietary Dillon only dies, thus not the best 'Deal' in existence for many..
moonman16
The Dillon Square Deal ONLY USES DILLON PROPRIETARY DIES FOR THAT MACHINE. They are not dies you are accustom to seeing. Other Dillon presses use industry standard dies 7/8-14 thread including the "U" Die.

Probably the only reason I have never bought one. They are otherwise an awesome little press.

I would just get a cheap LEE single stage from midway and try it. Make sure you use some oneshot case lube as the udie is kind of a beotch to run dry. ToddKS
+1 on the OneShot case lube with the U die. My life got much better once I learned about that product here. I am using a Lee turret press. Might give you some additional flexibility to do other things down the road and not a whole lot more than the single stage.
Steve RA
The best Lee single stage is the Classic Cast. It has an excellent primer disposal method - plastic tube into a container which if you deprime a lot keeps the primer residue to a minimum. https://fsreloading.com/catalogs/lee-precision/classic-cast.html
