what does everyone shoot

Recommended Posts

Lately.. I've been shooting USPSA Production, but oddly enough, it's the only division I'm not yet classified in.

Here is the list:

USPSA: all divisions

USPSA 3-gun : Tactical

other things....

Upland and waterfowl hunting.

Used to shoot IHMSA Handgun Sillouette

Skeet and Sporting Clays

Steel Challenge (Locally)

I shoot (poorly):

USPSA pistol

USPSA 3-Gun

other 3-Gun

IDPA

NRA Action Pistol

Steel Challenge-type steel matches

I hope to do some NRA High Power/DCM this year, and maybe get into manually operated rifle (aka "sniper") matches.

I hope to do some trap shooting this year too.

My wife and I both shoot various handguns in USPSA limited, limited 10, and open divisions as well as some PPC and TYRO with a local club. I also dabble with a shotgun in Trap and Skeet abit. Welcome aboard!

Weebles,

Welcome to the forums.

I primarily shoot a STI in .40 in the USPSA Limited division and a S&W M625 in Revolver division for a couple of matches a year.

Also enjoy shooting three gun and plinking with .22 caliber rifles and pistols.

Come to think of it, I enjoy shooting just about everything :D:D:D

i havent gotten around trying "cool" guns :P

It's just a matter of time ... groucho.gif

Do your parents shoot other disciplines as well? I suspect that if you've not done so already, you'll be shooting smallbore rifle before long. Once you get hooked on guns that go "Bang!" instead of "Pfft!," it's all over for you!

You have a head start on most of us, though. With your air rifle experience, you've already mastered the fundamentals of sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, and follow through. If and when you choose to branch our into other games and disciplines, you'll be way ahead of the curve.

I shot Smallbore rifle for a few years in Junior High

Then moved to HighPower Rifle in High School (Ohio State Junior team 2 years)

Then more HighPower in the USMC as a Sniper

Now, decided to give IDPA/USPSA a go...

Hi Weebles!

In addition to shooting IPSC Limited, I also shoot:

-Bullseye (15 & 25m - Hämmerli 208S)

-ISSF Standard Pistol (Hämmerli 208 S)

-ISSF Rapid Fire Pistol (Hämmerli 208S)

- DSF Service pistol (SVI, S&W 627)

- DSF Kombi Pistol (Hämmerli 208S, SVI, 627)

- Nordic Terrain / field shooting (SVI, 208S, 627)

- Bowling Pins (SVI, 208S,627)

- Falling Target (SVI, 208S, 627)

- Steel

I feel that being broad will help my narrow goal. IPSC is where most attention is put and where I'll make my mark... ;)
