I don't understand why is their a need to mark your mags

it's actually very useful.

you need to identify any problems and know which mag it is.

it also allows you to 'life' you mags. so you don't use the same mag over and over as mag 1 while the others get used only rarely.

identifies which are your mags (can be tough when 5 others in your squad have the same mags).

that's about it. but it's very worthwhile.

I use my Avery Label Maker. One set is going on 2 years and look good.

Have always used a Silver Sharpie, but like some of the ideas you guys have posted.

Works great on Glock mags!

I use Testors model paint. Works great.

The tripp mags I use have little dimples in them and I just fill in one dimple with paint for mag one, two for two, etc.

I just got the Springer Precision basepads with my name engraved on them. Very cool product and fast turn around. As a bonus they make my CZ 17 round magazines the same length as my 18 rounders.

Paint markers, I just put one dot on the base of each of my 6 mags, different colours on my two rearward 'loading' mags. Same pens used to mark bases of my cases so (I live in hope!) get most of my brass back lol

i was beginning to think I was the only one still picking up brass! ;-)
