hlpressley
Are the above mention modifications legal per the new rule book? Would like to shoot my M&P full size occasionally in local matches but it has some custom mill work done to the slide. Please advise. Pic for reference...obviously I would remove the light. Ted Murphy
There gonna consider that slide lightening which is a no go. You can shoot Not For Cimpetition though.
crobber
Hi, all I was wondering if the slide top serrations themselves would be legal for IDPA ESP. I checked the rules, but they seem to be contrary. Under legal mods they show 8.2.2.2.14 Checkering, serrating, and stippling but later on under illegal mods they have 8.2.2.3.2 Removal of material from the exterior of the slide other than front cocking serrations, tri-top, engraving, carry melts, and high power cuts So are the permitted serrations from 8.2.2.2.14 in regards to the frame? By specifically stating front-cocking serrations in 8.2.2.3.2, I am guessing those along the top may be a no go, but am not sure. I am looking at getting into the sport and unfortunately do not have the funds to acquire a handgun specifically for competition in addition to performing mods I had planned for firearms I already own. Thanks all for any clarification that you can give me.

EngineerEli
I realize this is in the IDPA section but if you were just wanting to shoot the gun competitively, it would be legal in USPSA Limited or Limited 10. (but in minor PF)
