sperman
I'm thinking about putting an optic on my carry gun, and looking for recommendations on reliability and battery life. Thanks,
RangerTrace
I worked with a CID Agent last week who had the Leupold slide ride on his Smith MP. I can't remember who he said had done the work. According to him, the sight "sleeps" after so many minutes of non-movement and then turns on with the next movement. It looked great and shot nice too. SouthernGunsLLC
RMR06 is probably the most popular slide mounted optic and the most durable. Only reason I dont run a slide mounted optic on my carry gun is the blooming you get in the rain on all MRDS.

Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk 2

We shot a lot in the rain this week and I didn't hear him complain of it.
Craig N
I run a RMR Adjustable on my G19. If you have any problems with a dot fuzzing on you like I do the adjustable lets you get a crisp dot.

Tuflehundon
I'd have to agree with the RMR. For a carry gun that your life may depend on, that's the only optic I would trust.
v1911
The dual illumination or LED?
Steve RA
The only problem is the dot size on the RMR Trijicon, awfully small - I'd recommend the Insight with the 7" dot.

The RMR LED can be gotten in 6.5 MOA and the dual up to 13MOA.
Steve RA
May be my mistake, look one up on several sites and only showed the 3.5" dot. Sorry for the erroneous information.
