bmadsen
Vince Where exactly did Eric state that the gun could hold 21+1 rounds? He wrote that on his forum.
Julien Boit
Bear in mind that Daniel Roch was shooting minor, with a 38 special load. I bet the gap wouldn't have been so great with a major caliber. Adam Tyc , the new European champ is a hell of a good shooter. He's some kind of glock specialist, I shot once against him and finished 3rd behind him and Eric 1st. He shot a G34 that time, but I bet he'll stick with Production for a little time. That lucky kid also got a very very nice girlfriend. I'm sure all the people who were at the EC ceremony remember that girl in short white dress hanging to his arm
Matthew_Mink
Yes, Dave is going to be tough to beat at the WS. For the people that are wondering, the USPSA team is: Sevigny, Olhasso, Flentz, Gray. Angus and I were told that we didn't shoot enough Area matches to qualify. I do find it odd that the #2 guy from Nats this year wasn't good enough to qualify for the US team, but whatever.
dirtypool40
yeah, I have to agree, there has to be a common sense factor in our team selection. I think Jerry Barnhart ran into something like this at the 97 WS. Thanks, I don't need a drift into why. Let's keep talking production.... You'll still be there right Mink? I'm going "Privateer" and am trying to recruit more gringos to do the same.
BigDave
I'm guessing most of our big shooters are jumping towards modified div this coming WS14. And that, my friend, is truly a disappointment. As much as I personally like Modified, it's becoming our least popular division, and I would much rather see our top Filipino competitors enter a far more active division and lose, than win a 10 horse race. I'm sorry but I think that is a sorry damn outlook, Vince. You support them all, or don't support any of them. Sorry everyone, but that just struck a nerve. Ok then, I stand ignorant. Isn't the first time, won't be the last. Explain it to me. I've re-read the thread, what am I taking out of context? Vince Pinto
Dave, I don't think you're ignorant - I just think you've misunderstood my comments. To expand upon them, my support for the Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA) Teams is unwavering, but I'd prefer that Filipino competitors shot in a more prominent and growing division, rather than an obscure one, even if that means they would not place as highly, due to a lack of familiarity and experience. However I know they'll put their hearts and souls into it, no matter which division they choose. Filipinos may not be great at swimming or track & field events, but they definitely know how to shoot. FYI, I've (arguably) been the biggest non-Filipino supporter of the PPSA for over 10 years and, without going into nuts 'n' bolts detail, my support has taken a variety of shapes and forms, and it has benefitted competitors and range officials alike. I've also visited the Philippines every 4-6 weeks for the past 20 years, my wife is a Filipina, I speak fluent Taglish (i.e. Tagalog-English For Dummies), and the Regional Director of the PPSA is Godfather to my youngest son (as are five other prominent PPSA personalities). I'm also truly humbled to be the only non-Filipino to be given an Honorary Life Membership in the PPSA (in 1995). Anyway, no hard feelings from my side, but I hope you understand why I was not thrilled to see you questioning my support of the PPSA or it's members. POSTSCRIPT: One of these days over a beer or three, I'll tell you a story about my son's Christening with my PPSA pals, and I promise you'll pee your pants. I can absolutely vouch for Vince's unwavering support and promotion of the PPSA. It became obvious to me quite early on in my aquaintance with Vince that he felt a particular loyalty and affiliation in that direction.

Vince Pinto
I don't know for certain why, but Jay and his brother Jag have both withdrawn from the Level IV in Bali this month.
Eye Cutter
Jay is shooting a Glock 17 in an uncle mike's kydex holster. Jag is shooting a modified SPS pistol with an OKO red dot sight. A lot of participants backed off for the Bali match. I have no idea why.

gmshtr
Ouch! That one stung a little..........but just a little. Hey Matt, keep in mind, that we'll basically be shooting the same guns, your's just might hold more rounds....whimpy ones, though. It won't matter either way. Turtle's going to light up the Ecuator in August. He's a man on a mission, much like his skipper! By the way Vince, Standard looks like Me, Taran, Manny Bragg, and either Mike Voight or Blake Miguez. Open is going to be Max Michel, Chris Tilley, JJ Racaza, and I have no idea who would be #4. Of course, this one I'm not as sure about. Team Old Fart Standard is still being formed. Rob and Todd are already on it. I hear they're trying to recruit Jerry! Phil

I wonder if the USA is trying to win the World Shoot or just beat the living crap out of each other? Probably both. As somebody famous once said, "We live in interesting times", and it sure looks like Ecuador is shaping up to be The Mother Of All World Shoots. Steve Moneypenny
I was under the impression that blake's DQ would take him out of world shoot team contension? I'm still just figuring out how all this works... kind of glad i'm not going just yet.
gmshtr
Well, I'm not sure they're moving aside, rather than just letting someone else deal with the BS that was involved in getting picked for the US. Between Rob's XD not being allowed in Intl Prod, and Todd's training schedule, they just didn't bother. Jerry is just too busy making BIG money to shoot (lose money) in any majors. I can't blame them. They don't really have anything left to prove. Phil
