  1. Hey I have just turned 40, but I don't think I have that much extra on the side
  2. "Classic" versions (without "head") attached. Classic Poppers.zip
  3. I use a 180 gr. Copper plated flat point bullet loaded to close to 180 PF in my 38 Super. I have used 158 gr. LRN in 9x19 and they had quite a bulge in the case. If you load 180 gr. In 9x19 I would suggest you load them to 38 Super length (if your gun and barrel allows that length)
  4. Well according to SPS’s website their modified guns measure approx. 207x140x41mm, and that is pretty close to our minimum length of 210mm, so maybe with a bit of creative measuring you can find those 3 mm. If not, then I’m sure a gunsmith can ad 3 mm to the length (and still have it fit the box). But none the less you are stuck in Minor, as 357 Sig is not approved for Major in Modified, and we can't have 40 S&W . DVC Bo Stampe Madsen
  5. N105 er god til kraftige ladninger. Hvilke discipliner vil du skyde med din nye skyder? Til normale ladninger (som standard 9mm) er N340 langt at foretrække. And in English ;-) N105 is a god powder for powerful loadings. Which disciplines du you plan to use your new gun for? For normal loadings (comparable to standard 9mm) N340 would be preferable.
  6. 2. I liked my 92-F enough that I bought a stainless 92-FS a couple of months ago. In fact, I bought it for my wife. She likes the older one better and my old eyes see the sights on the new one better. No problem. Each gets what they want. The first time I cleaned my new Beretta, I found I could not remove the locking block. It does not clear the floating pin behind it. Is this normal or should I have it looked at professionally? Don’t worry, that is normal (well at least my 92 FS had the same “problem”/feature)
  7. I really like my Pro Ears. The only problem I have, is getting replacement soft ear pieces (Hygiene Kit). So far I have been ignored by Midway-Denmark and Pro Ears. Apparently it’s too much trouble for such a small order to Europe
  8. A god price on gas right now here in Denmark is, converted to US units: $5.50 / gallon
  9. I sure would like to have seen the lengthwise bottle clip before I did the experiment myself. A 90gr. XTP at 1770fps from 5 yards will get you soaked!
  10. After loading about 100.000 rounds on my 550, what I thought would never happen, happened anyway. A double charge – 10.6gr. N320 under a 180!!! On my 7’th shot on my 3’th stage of the day. It blew a large piece of my chamber into orbit, but that was all that happend to the gun. The barrel had to be taped out of the slide, but after cleaning out a piece of brass from the extractor tunnel and putting in my spare barrel, I was able to continue the match. Gun: Custom STI 2011 Barrel: STI
  11. Speaking of tattoos, I kind of like this one:
  12. Just thought you all should know - 55$/1000 is less than half what we pay in Europe
  13. Look here: spiral pattern This is common with some plated bullets, and is not related to the speed of the bullet, as it also happens with 40 and 45.
  14. I have used the Pro-Slim for 6-7 years, and I like them. If you want more sound reduction, as provided by the Pro-Mag, you can always double plug (foam plugs under your Pro-Slim). I recommend you replace the foam Sealing Rings every other year.
  15. If you look at Eric Grauffel, he frequently uses the available time/distance to perform the reload. And he is always ready to shoot when he arrives at the next shooting position. I like to get moving ASAP and then do the reload on the way to the next position. As long as I’m ready to shoot when I arrive, I really don’t care when/were the reload happens.
  16. Hi You could also try bullets from Haendler & Natermann http://www.hn-sport.de/ they are quite popular among the European shooters. You can also get them here: http://www.johannsen-jagd.de/ At £643 / 10000 they are worth considering. I can recommend searching German sites for Hornady bullets, sometimes you can get them at the same price as the H&N bullets. (And they shoot better)
  17. For me it depends a lot on the distance to the target and the size of the target. If I’m shooting at targets at 25 yards, my whole hand will lift 1-2 inches. But on close targets it seems as if the gun barely moves.
  18. Thanks for the replies. The WD40 trick crossed my mind, but I’m worried that not all primers will bee “deactivated” Right now I’m most partial to throwing the tube in a fire and run like he.. But I’ll wait until I’ve heard from Dillon.
  19. Hi I need help! I have about 80 WSP primers stuck inside the tube of my Dillon RF 100 When I tried to fill the primers into my press, only about 10 came out the tube. When I turned the tube upside down another 10 or so came out the other end. But the rest are jammed inside the tube. What do I do?
  20. You can have the Mech-Tech in 9mm and shoot it on your Para 40 frame, You just need 9mm mags for your Para.
  21. Here in Denmark I can get 500 grams of Vihtavuori Pistol Powder (N310, .... N105): for about 30 $
  22. I have tried using .402 cal. Bullets, but more than half of the loaded rounds could not chamber! I had a guy make me a resizer so I could size the bullets to .400 and the problem went away. But before you ask, I live in Europe and I don’t shoot lead, so I won’t by your bullets
  23. I broke mine about 2 years ago. My 550 had about 60,000 rounds on it. Got a new crank from Dillon, only had to pay for the postage ($36, Well I live in Europe!). I have also broken the primer bar activator (the bent piece of steel wire) 2 times, and am currently using a homemade replacement.
  24. Don’t throw away 40$ on a “dry-fire gun” !!! The whole idea off dry fire is to familiarize yourself with the gun you use in competition. Using a special dry-fire gun defeats this purpose. Do a search on dry fire on this forum, reed the post and you will be a lot wiser on the subject.
  25. I reload a bit different than most people. I hit the mag release with my strong hand middle finger reaching all the way around the front strap and up to the mag release. This technique has always come natural to me, but I haven’t met anyone else who do it this way. Are there any SHMFMRH (strong hand middle finger mag release hitters) out there?
