GlockOp
I am putting together a G17 for 9mm open (minor). Using the GSSF kit from Jager with a KKM Barrel, Jager Comp, 11 pound recoil spring. I used my normal load of 3.9 grains of TiteGroup with 124 grain MG CMJ, Super accurate pistol BUT it wont cycle. So I have some slow powders I am going to experiment with. Can someone suggest some loads using WSF or V.V. N340 for 9mm minor loads? Thanks
Hi-Power Jack
I don't have a load for WSF or N340, but have you tried a bit more TG? Get the velocity and pressure up a bit, and it might cycle?? Or, use a lighter spring?
GlockOp
Hi Jack: I have considered this. If the slow burning powder does not work this is my next option.
Sarge
I agree with Jack. 3.9 TG with a 124 probably doesn't even make minor.
GlockOp
It makes 133 PF through the chrono.
Scootertheshooter
I have almost the same set up as you. I went to HS-6 to get the comp to work like it should. Even in minor the comp does make a difference .
GlockOp
Thanks Scooter. Glad to hear the setup works!

Can someone suggest some loads using WSF or V.V. N340 for 9mm minor loads? Thanks Sadly, I've yet to chrono them, but have loaded quite a few 124gr MG JHPs @ 4.9gr WSF, 1.09" OAL, using a KKM barrel in G19, no comp. I fully expect it to make minor PF, but I have no idea how much the comp on your gun will impact desired load. I'm using 4.7-5.3gr as my min/max for MG JHP. Not sure how much this helps, but maybe it's a starting point, at least.
cecil
I shoot OPEN with a STI Steel Master 9mm MINOR.. my favorite load is: 5.5gr Auto Comp -- 124gr Delta Precision JHP -- sm pistol primers --- 1.155 COL
stick
I run 4.1 Titegroup with the same bullets in my G34. I agree with the others, I think 3.9 is not enough powder.
kneelingatlas
Trade for some slower powder.
