Wilfred
not the best pic but what i have right now A bolt on slide racker would look weird on your awesome gun. There's a lot of room for a dovetail.
40S&W
My slide was milled down and I have a slide racker installed. The racker is a sidewinder. My gunsmith milled the dovetail of the racker to about 1/2 of original thickness, cut a shallow dovetail in the slide and installed an angular binding screw to hold it in place. the dovetail in the slide is cut so you can just barely see the firing pin spring. Works just fine for me and no problems with the gun or slide cracking. My slide is cut just like yours in the rear. ramairbrc
I was wondering if I could use something like this as a slide-racker, and drill and tap the slide. Is this what you were talking about?

The "racker" part came from Home Depoe or Lowe's.... can you guess what it is... That's exactly what I was looking for, for my cut down slide. Already drilled and tapped and looking for something to fit, 1/2" on center holes.
