Trini
Was at LGS and got to handle a SR45 pistol. It is a 10 rd double stack mag. Price was under $500. LGS would not let me take a picture of it.. While at the store didn't give it serious thought of buying it but more I think of it.. back tomorrow and buying it. Store only had one so I hope it is still available.
Boxer1
How much bigger than the SR9 is it? I am wondering if it is the same size or is it like the XD45 that is considerably bigger?
gerritm
Bigger version of the SR9. Got a chance to hold one. Know someone who bought one and his first impression after taking it to the range was very good. More of a commander size and weight. gerritm
de03x7
My daughter bought one a couple weeks ago. It is bigger than her 9mm enough that it will not fit the same holster. The second issue is that no extra magazines are available. Ruger don't even have them listed on their website.
de03x7
She has shot about 250 rounds through it and since I got the big chunk of metal out of the striker channel it has been fine. She shot about 50 rounds through it and it just qiut firing. It wouldn't even make a mark on the primer. you could hear the striker drop but nothing happend. My first thought was that the pin broke off but when I pulled it apart there was a rather large piece if steel stuck over the firing pin hole stopping it from striking. Gerard
I've only seen photos but the SR45 looks comparable to a Glock 21. The SR45 look slightly slimmer. The photos I saw are here: http://www.facebook.com/thetruthaboutguns/photos_stream
Lubecktech
After getting my SR40c I have been wanting one but was not aware of a lack of extra magazines.
KSwift
And back from the dead. But if it wasn't an old thread... Barf. The price should be WAY under 500, theyre available online all day long for around 360. And for good reason, no one wants them.
refugee
I find mine to be as accurate and reliable as anything I own. that includes S&W, XD, and Glock. paid a little over 400 for it and consider it a real bargain. great ergonomics and minimal felt recoil.
