  8. I'm listening to NIGHT FILM by Marisha Pessl and really enjoying it.
  9. Been a while since I posted in this thread. I'm listening to THE LOCK ARTIST by Steve Hamilton. Good narration of a real good story (so far, a bit less than half way thorugh). Previous to that I Loren D. Estleman's JITTERBUG, a crime novel set in 1943 Detroit.
  10. CZ-USA updates a holster directory on an Excel spreadsheet. Search for appendix in the file.

  12. Funky Chicken wearing a sling?

  14. The P09 has landed just have to find one I would also like to have a P01 with a manual safety but wasn't an option until a few months ago. Really? I thought they were still a month out for the 9mm models. There have been some P-09s out there. Matt Mink has one listed on Gun Broker at http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=348126016. I followed an old link to that Gun Broker auction and it redirected twice to new auctions so I guess no one has been snapping that gun up.

  16. Recently read include: - Joe Ledger: the lost files by Jonathan Maberry. Shoot'em short stories featuring Maberry's character, Joe Ledger, fighting zombies, terrorists, and an international assassin. - Ghosts of Belfast by Neville Stuart. Former IRA soldier is haunted by the 12 people he killed during the Troubles. IRA guy starts killing other IRA guys to make the ghosts go away. I skipped this when it came out in 2009 because the ghost stuff sounded stupid, it wasn't. - Plugged by Eoin Colfer. Fun novel with a former Irish Army soldier now working as a doorman in a low-rent casino in New Jersey. Trouble and laughs ensues. - Last Kind Words by Tom Piccirilli. More crime drama by Piccirilli. - The Consummata by Mickey Spillane and Max Allan Collins. Great stuff. Late 1960s with thief Morgan the Raider on the run in Miami from the CIA when he decides to help an anti-Castro group recover several thousand dollars stolen by a Cuban agent.
  17. I recently read a really critical analysis of that rescue scene in The Patriot and how it was full of baloney. Still an exciting scene.
  18. The desert outside Los Angeles. Indio, CA.
  19. Thanks. There a few bands I'd like to see. I enjoyed The Hives' live stream last year.
  20. I read The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner by Alan Sillitoe. I'm still trying to finish two others.
  21. Mr. Monk is a Mess by Lee Goldberg. Yes, he is a mess.
  22. BAD DEBTS by Peter Temple. 1996 crime novel set in Melbourne, Australia. I'm ejoying it quite a bit. I read and enjoyed Temple's THE BROKEN SHORE a couple years ago
  23. I was impressed with TACTICAL PISTOL SHOOTING by Erik D. Lawrence. The book is on it's 2nd or 3rd edition. The book focuses on combat shooting and has better illustrations and drills and description than the other gun books I have read. DEFENSIVE HANDGUNNING: A TREATISE ON HANDGUN CARRY AND USE by Glenn Rehberg is a good guide for carrying and defensive shooting. DEFENSIVE is well written.
