Talked to a junior shooter and his mom before we left who picked a ammo can off the table. Busted that thing open and found a Remington versamax certificate. They were stoked lol. Pretty cool.

Belated thanks to all the ROs that worked through the long hours and kept a good attitude! My son Tim got the Versamax certificate out of one of the "mystery cans". Remington had a quick turnaround time...we just picked it up from my FFL yesterday. All 4 of us had a great time shooting the match and we hope to see everyone at some matches in the future. Tim made a video of a few of his stages if anyone is interested...

So can someone come out and clarify...are they saying that the SMM3G scores are not going to count toward 3GN series rankings?

Or the match peeps are just slow in getting the scores to 3GN and it takes a bit for Rangelog to get them all entered?

If they say the scores don't count, I want my money back...drove from Wisconsin and slept three nights in the car to shoot a match that is part of the 3GN series.

And since the SMM3G web site isn't showing it anymore, below is what I had in my phone off the web site at about 9:30 the night the match ended.

It has finish place as well as percentages, but not sure it was the final draft of what they posted.

Im right there with you BeckyY... The issue is not with rangelog or 3GN. Tarheel hust wrapped up last week, and scores are already logged.

I emailed Chad Adams at 3GN, and he told me that he has sent email after email requesting the scores from Superstition. He said "its not looking good". Not sure what that means exactly, but this match wont have my support next year.

You wont be able to get your money back, if they dont send their scores in, but I assume 3GN could seek legal action against them, seeing as how the match benifited from being listed as a points series match.

Everyone needs to send emails to Chad, letting him know your feelings about getting those scores.

After the match, a group of people were standing around waiting for the team/side match to start. Nobody seemed to want to ask the Aussie who appeared to be directing things when it was going to begin, but nobody wanted to walk off and miss it, so I spoke up and asked and one of the guys said, "thanks for doing that".

I think maybe guys are all just a little too polite and laid back, waiting to see what happens, but I agree with Uber in that perhaps it's time for people to send polite emails to SMM3G (and Chad, because he has more power than us little people) explaining that with spending hundreds of dollars for a match that is part of a series there are certain expectations that need to be fulfilled.

Did anyone take pictures of the posted score sheets after the arbitration period ended? Or did anyone else save the PDFs of their division scores off SMM3G web site? I only saved Tac-Optics. I guess I'm asking, did SMM3G loose the scores? If 3GN needs the scores, they likely exist in other places besides the people who it sounds like are not answering emails.

It would be a shame for their match to get a bad name when the organizers put a lot of work into it and they had ROs and people working hard to make it a success...

Yes, I think everyone has assumed their entry fee for a series match would cover 3GN being sent an official copy of the scores.

There were a large number of juniors at that match, and for them to get to a series match with a costly entry fee, and only to be SOL on their scores being sent in would be a very disappointing outcome.

From the SMM3G Stats Staff -

We I have been working with Chad from 3-Gun Nation to get him what he needs. The match directors computer crashed so there was some mis-communication but nothing close to what the above posts mentioned. Every email that I have received from Chad was answered promptly !!! 3-GUN Nation was not specific in their requests. At first, they sent a very elaborate worksheet to fill out. I spent allot of time working on it only to find out that they now have different set of requirements. Added to that nobody had a complete list of which 3-Gun Nation members shot the match. So I had to cross check a list of our shooters vs all of their members. With all that being said Chad and I should have the 3-Gun Nation points problem solved in the next few days. We are very sorry for the delay, but want to make sure that the information sent is correct and that everybody that is a member of 3-Gun Nation gets credit for shooting the match.

Ya know the best events are like Parties, Offending the host is one way to not get invited to next party that friends of the host are giving.

Growing up in the 70s there were some parties I did not want to go to , but it was still nice to get invited

But thin a Mexican expression that sounds like music in spanish. " If you don't speak up , not even god will hear you"

We are gearing up for the 19th annual Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun, scheduled for March 28th - 30th 2014, and have already gotten a few sponsors locked in for you. This match is already shaping up to be the best ever and we will be keeping you up to date as we solidify stage designs, figure out round counts, and lock in even more sponsors for you.

APPLICATIONS! Okay, they aren't up yet, but they will be and it won't be long. As in years past we will be putting up applications right after the USPSA Area 2 Desert Classic.
