DRobson
I'm getting a 9mm 2011 built and wanted to know if there are any "must have's". I just sent my order and down payment to Freedom Gunworks so I still have time to add/change anything. This will be my first open 2011 and I want to try and start off on the right foot. Thanks ahead for any help and ideas. Edited October 8, 2012 by DRobson
Noximus03
Are you talking spare parts, gear, which one?

DRobson
I was referring to the gun itself. I guess I should have been a little more clear on that. I have a pretty good idea as far as gear goes.
gng4life
There are so many options and preferences, it is hard to put those down. The biggest issue with an Open gun (well, any gun) is reliability. Bobby and his crew know what they are doing so you are good there. Have you shot other Open guns to see what you like? Slide Rackers are really nice but which one? Did you want a standard Cmore or a compact red dot? Do you like an upright mount or a 90 degree mount? What about extended mag release? Don't forget a good mag well. Bobby can give you some good advice on a comp/barrel combination along with the possibility of barrel holes (popple holes). It really helps if have shot a few and see what you like but either way, I will guarantee you that you will end up changing some things eventually. Tell us what options you put in or like so far... Hi-Power Jack
That's a good list - have a chrono? And, yes, two OPEN guns is a great idea, unless you can repair one in five minutes at the range.
DRobson
I'm good to go on the chrono. I will have to work my way into having 2 open 2011's. I guess I could always keep my SJC glock 34 but I'm pretty sure that's just going to get sold.

Aircooled6racer
Hello: I would use a Schuemann barrel, Koenig hammer, Ed Brown wide Safety, Dawson sear spring and a Briley aluminum guide rod. The Shooters Connection racker is nice also. You will have to bend it to fit under the Quinn II. Thanks, Eric
