First and foremost, we want to show our gratitude to all who participated in this match. It has been a tough and grueling week for all shooters and we hope that you enjoyed the 2013 Texas State Open. We also thank all our sponsors who supported this year's match. They are the pillars of this sport and let us show our appreciation by considering them in our next purchase.

We would also like to thank the staff, volunteers and the range officials. They went beyond their call to assist everyone in making this match a success.

It was particularly challenging for them to extend the shooting hours on Saturday to adjust for the inclement weather on Sunday. Kudos to the staff.

Does anyone have video of Max shooting Stage 12? His time of 3.12 and points of 29 make me think he either blew off the drop turner or the bobber. It would be cool to see how he shot it or at least know what his stage plan was.

I don't have video but watched him shoot. Steel, steel, static, bobber. We discussed it and after he saw several shooters shoot it he decided the drop turner was just too slow.

Thanks for the info. I thought about doing it that way but knew I would have to shoot very aggressively with that plan and risk dropping a ton of points or missing one of the steel. I was figuring that the high hit factor for the stage was going to be about 7.5 so dropping even a D zone hit along with a couple of C's with that plan would kill your run even if you had a smoking time. I shot it right steel, left steel, DT, bobber, static. That seemed to allow everything to present in a good time without needing to rush the shooting. I still pulled my second shot low into the barrel for the bobber through so it ruined my run.

That is one of those stages where it would be fun to shoot 10 times just to try out a couple of different plans.

Was wondering the same thing, I shot steel, steel, drop turner (charlie, mike), static paper, bobber. If I had all alphas I still would not of got to his HF. I did hesitate because the drop turner wasnt there when I transitioned and I started to leave it, then it appeared. A half second still would not of got to Max's HF. Well played.

i would also recomend all scores on the stage be on paper and a staff member sitting on the side to enter the scores in the nook. the nook really slowed things down. we could have run more shooters in less time if it had not been for the nook. also we asked for sand bags on saterday around 12 ish and never got them. the paster idea is a good idea. it was a great match amd i look forward to next year
