Steve, uspsa matches in Lufkin on the 2nd sunday of the month, Longview on the 4th sat. Not sure on IDPA but both have clubs that shoot it. Hiway 31 west shooting range in tyler for practice. There is an indoor range in Tyler, LOCK N LOAD and they have an IDPA club there. Sadly no USPSA in Tyler.

Was wondering the same thing, I shot steel, steel, drop turner (charlie, mike), static paper, bobber. If I had all alphas I still would not of got to his HF. I did hesitate because the drop turner wasnt there when I transitioned and I started to leave it, then it appeared. A half second still would not of got to Max's HF. Well played.

What SV COP said, the ones I used fit fine and would run about 80%. Get the sv mags if you want something reliable. I had grams followers, new springs, adjusted feed lips, polished, you name it and I tried it to get them to work. This was with the steel signature grip.

Ejector may be out of tune, i had en extended ejector that bent as your describing yours. It just about locked up the gun, dragged when racking the slide.

May want to include something about the apps for smart phones. Using it as a timer was a reason I first purchased a smart phone. Its not as good as a dedicated timer but gets the job done especially for someone just practicing at the range wanting to know their times or hear the beep.

Seems the artists statements are full of doubt. "if i shoot to the best of my ability, I might win" On the other hand the champions statements are very confident, but possibly too much. "Im the best shooter ever born"

I could not make it work with moly or lead bullets, works pretty good with jacketed but I don't shoot those in 40.

I enjoyed all the vids too, thought it was pretty awesome to be able to watch shortly after it was filmed.

Andy you came out ahead of some really good shooters. Eliminate the little errors and there will be no stopping you. I need to bump up my practice, your getting a limited gun soon aren't you? Or maybe I just need to stick to open. lol.

Yes Tim it is. I have only shot there once in steel challenge but they do both pistols. Longview is a long drive from Austin.

Looked good Matt, you have improved a lot since I seen you shoot at area 4 last year. Likes like your movement is quicker into positions and your leaving them extremely quick, dropping 60 pts out of 1080 is impressive as fast as you were shooting. I assume you won the match huh?

I have 8 samll targets I use for dry fire, spread out across 8 feet scattered with no shoots. I start on the end from the draw and transition to the other end and work my way in. reload and repeat. Has helped my transition speed tremendously. If targets are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. Shoot them 1,8,2,7,3,6,4,5 then reload. Can also shoot them from inside out.

Wow man, from the vids you made a lot of improvement in a months time. Looks like your practice is paying off.

When I shot a glock I cleaned my mags after a match, until that one day when I reloaded a salt shaker, wasted an excellent run with "glock mags dont need cleaning." It was the last stage of the day, but it will stop working eventually especially if your anywhere near mag length with your bullets. Now I shoot S_I and if they hit the ground you better clean it or you have a 50% chance of it working.

I dont think you will see immediate improvement with a 2011 after shooting a glock for a long time. It takes time to get used to the saftey and the increased weight of the gun. Having said that. I have shot my glock in some three gun matches after shooting the 2011 for almost a year and def. wouldnt go back to it. You can certainly compete with the best in the world with a glock against 2011's, lot of people do it. If you want one get it, they are awesome, but dont do it to make you a better shooter because thats only going to come from exp. and practice with what ever you choose.

Couldnt get moly 40s to run in the hornday bullet feeder die. I saw where I think it was RCBS was coming out with a bullet feeder that worked with all of them though.

Your eyes need to see the muzzle lift on the second shot, then your eyes are moving to the next target.
