I had to file & sand the upper rounded edge of the magpads to get them to seat without having to pound them in. (You can see where it makes contact, therefore you know where to take material off.) I had to do the modification described above and also had to sand the checkering off the bottom of the Arredondos to make the mags fit in the 141.25mm gauge.... I know with a gen 1 or might be gen 1 and gen 2 mags that the basepad fits but won't go in the gun. My most recent mags work fine with either Dawson pads or Arredondo's. Mine are in 24 frame MKK & MTZ with a Dawson Ice with insert and the other is the Dawson Heavy ICE. Almost forgot the Gen 2 22 with a BVW frame. Multiple Gen 3 & SF mags without a problem.
