converse15
Thats a cool plane. I have a few jumps out of C-130's. First time i jumped out of a C-17 I was amazed. We loaded up and they had two Humvees and an OH-58 Kiowa loaded inside. Plus it has a blast door so you didnt get ripped around as bad from the wind. Amazing how big they are once you are next to one.
ninemmbill
The C-17 was a crowd favorite at last years Aviation Nation show.

wgnoyes
That soon? The first C17 squadron wasn't declared operational until Jan 1995.
Tom Freeman
That soon? The first C17 squadron wasn't declared operational until Jan 1995. The first two Buddahs got beat up really bad in testing at Edwards AFB. It got to the point where fixing them cost more than the plane was worth. JerryShoots
I used to go to Wright Pat with my Grandpa when I was a kid. We still go to AirVenture every year. Anybody know if the surviving Valkrie is still there? Sweet C-17 I really need to make a trip back luckily I'm still lucky enough to have Pop to go with 8)
