Do a Google images search for "Burnt Bronze Cerakote"... A friend of mine won a certificate and got his M&P and all his mags done, looks killer, it's not too "tacti-cool" or really too "bling bling", kind of in-between, a pretty cool and unique color that looks good for firearms. YMMV, subjective of course...

Actually, here's a link to another forum that shows his gun: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/show-tell/67762-cerakote-finish-m-p.html

Of course I'm a sucker for Hard Chrome as it looks good and is so freaking hard that it's a good choice for competition guns that see hard use. AGW does all the Hard Chroming for STI and don't think their prices can be beat... There's a pic on google of a guy who hard chromed a Shadow and it looks pretty badass, and since it's HC it'll most probably stay that way.

Here's a link to a thread where a guy did one, his is mostly "polished" finish, don't forget you can also get a matte finish or mix of both: http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=21927.0

Also found a link with pics of a guy who did a half and half two-tone one: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=60642

Hey, I'm in the same boat.

I just dropped one of my Shadows off with a guy for cerakoting. I was going to go tactical black, but now I'm having second thoughts.

I don't have the link handy, but I came across one site that lets you see what a gun looks like with various finished. You can mix and match the slide and frame.

That bronze actually looks pretty cool.

I briefly considered with a white gun - but I'm betting I'd hate it after a short while.

yep, also found it. now i see the difference between graphite black and armor black. looks cool.

more ways for me to waste my money! :D:roflol::devil:

I know I'm going to use some combo involving one of blue colors for one of my guns.

Just not sure about the second gun. Part of me thinks that if I'm going to the trouble to do this, the gun should look different than what I can get from the factory.

yeah. i also can't imagine using something other than black for the slide. i don't know what glare would be like. ah, a lot of ho hum maybe. a beat up finish = patina and a sign of experience. :)

I was wondering about that. I've never really noticed a problem with stainless guns - in terms of glare - as long as the top is more of a matte finish. I've been thinking about a black frame with maybe a Socom blue or titanium blue top for one of mine. But maybe I should reverse it put the blue on the frame. So many choices.
