bradthegunmaniac
Trying to load precision147 molly bullets in my CZ Shadow. I have the overall at 1.090 and it is still hitting the rifling what do I need to do to fix this? Thanks
burningsquirrels
I don't remember havnig the same problem with my 125s, i think the 124s had the same profile. I guess you'll have to load shorter if it's really hitting. just need to make sure it still feeds reliably at that short of a length. do note that i load mine to 1.080". Jay870
I had to load Precision 147's down to 1.085 to keep them off the rifling. Wasn't comfortable with that so I sent the barrel to Matt Cheely and had him ream the throat a few hundredths. The OAL I run with Precision 147's now is 1.135. Sarge
Yeah, that shoulder is way out there on the 147 FP. I was under 1.11 in an M&P.
atomicbrh
Is that a Round Nose, Truncated Cone or Flat nose molly bullet you guys are discussing? Bobby H.
Sarge
The 147 precision moly I used was an FP.

mike4045
I started loading Bayou bullets instead. No need to ream the barrel. Longrounded shoulder on them.
oddjob
Had mine throated a bit too. Works fine now. My only problem is I have to use lead/moly bullets with a .358 diameter. The .355, .356, .357 looks like I'm throwing small Frisbees at the targets! Jacketed stuff is fine in my gun at .355.
joedodge
I have the same problem with the precision 147 in both of my xd 9. I'm having one chamber cut a little deeper well see if it helps I wish precision would get away from that wad cutter type design I really like there bullets
