minnesota1
I'm looking at having a barrel contoured. I'm going with an 18" barrel with a rifle length gas system. For three gunning what would you recommend? Government profile? Lighter? Heavier? Fluting is not an option at this time. What do most use? Thanks. J-Ho
I think it is all personal preference. I shoot a heavy barrel 20" and really like it and I have a very light barrel 16" and like it too. If you can try a few out and see what you like.
Jesse Tischauser
Turn it to .750 and call it good.

ken hebert
i'm real partial to an 18" with a 0.700" to a 0.750" profile, and no flutes. i remember the sissy boys playing flutes in high school.
P.E. Kelley
Turn it to .750 and call it good. That is the answer.
bpipe95
when I turned down my dpms mk12 barrel I used a noveske 18" lw couture as a rough guide.
Wakal
On a non-sissy-boy barrel, ..680-.700 seems to work well. But I'm running a Noveske turned to .750 and six-fluted, so I'm not a good judge Alex
sierra77mk
18" WOA SPR BBL. Best bbl I own for heavy bullets. I do not know the diameters though. http://www.whiteoakarmament.com/barrels.htm
