Tiger's misery

This isn't a hate rant, so I'll add my take;

I've always liked Tiger. He may be a big smuck off the course, but it's been fun watching him dominate the game. He brought a lot of people to the game and raised the level that is required to compete. Golf has really exploded in the last ten years or so. When I was playing in the late 70's and early 80's I was one of the only teenagers out there. It was all stuffy old farts in carts. (I know. I resemble that remark now too...) I see allot of young people on the course now. And the level of play of some of the new pros is phenomenal. I think allot of it is related to Woods.

Tiger will be back. He's only 35. He may not dominate like he did, but he will shatter the record books.

Yeah, but I'd rather not hear about it when other players are doing great, and they spend the extra time to tell me he didn't make the cut. If your not burning up the course, and are out of the running, you are not really newsworthy.

FWIW....Tiger was a gigantic schmuck on the course as well. It was simply a matter of the media machine could ill afford to show the footage of the magnitude of the tirades and tantrums that he would throw. Yes, he is only 35 but to be honest, he was only successful when the world was in his corner. Now that the curtain is gone and some of his character has been revealed, it will be interesting to see if he has the fortitude to become an adult and find a remedy for his flaws. Then he might be good at a silly game again.

Ya gotta admit he gave a whole new twist to playing "18 holes". :surprise: You have to wonder where the mojo went. Even ran off "Stevie", a multi millionaire caddy with attitude. Seems the pro jocks think morality is for other people. I suspect if you'd put them in an 8-5 grinder like the rest of us they'd fold like a Japanese fan. :cheers:

I think what makes me sad about Tiger is that he feels the need to pretend to be someone else. If he wants to bang porn stars and play golf and enjoy being rich, I say have at it. What makes me not respect the guy is that he has to pretend to be a saint.

I felt like 3Qtrtime for quite a while, then I started to dislike the guy after his rants, and what I consider unsportsman like behaviour on the course.

What and who he did in his own time was his business. Its not like there arent any other athletes, celeb's, and regular joe's/jane's all around the world doing the same thing. I may think its immoral and disgusting.. but who am I to judge him.

But yes.. Karma's a.. :ph34r:

I do feel sorry for his wife and kids though.
