38supPat
Has anyone tried different dot colors on something like a C-More
rupture
I've been wanting to try green forever. Don't think it will work unless they change the coating on the lens. I think it's made for red
38supPat
Yeah, I've heard quyite a few guys trying green with the fiber optic front sights but never anything different with the optics
RH45
I WISH I could get a green dot in a C-more! I'm a little color blind, and the red is REALLY hard for me to see.
fred5876r
I have a cheap Tasco 42mm dot on my Sig 522 carbine for steel. You can select either red or green dot, and I like the green in bright sun - it appears much brighter. BTW, it is a great sight for the money - about $42 at Walmart, but it would be very bulky on a handgun. Edited March 23, 2011 by fred5876r
OPENB
The only green dot I have seen is the Docter-type optic that Primary Arms sells. It appears to be a decent sub-$100 optic, but not sure it would hold up to riding on an open gun. The lens has a reddish tint, and the green dot is very easy to pick up. I use it as a secondary optic on my open 3 gun rifle.
t_kothmann
my brother has a cheapo Bushnell on his AR that has settings for green and red, and the green just doesn't do it for me
Hammar
I was wishing for a green dot the other day while shooting a Texas star through an orange "snow fence".
TruStreet
On a bright sunny day shooting steel with red Ga clay as a back stop, makes you wish for any color but red!

RH45
Buy red tinted/ amber shooting glasses, serious. I used to use red/vermilion when my eyes were better, especially for clay birds, but, now that I HAVE to wear prescription lens, I don't.
Bansheex
I have a C-More on my open gun that I use for steel. Every once and a while they paint the plates red. Sure makes it difficult to see the dot, but it's still fun!

Gary J
It sounds like a good option for C-More to look into. It would be nice to have different colors. Edited April 3, 2011 by Gary J

I asked C-More and they said they did make some back around 2000 but they didn't sell well.
