Stupid question time. what are you SS shooters using for mag/holster belt? i have been using the liner belt from my CR speed belt but an wearing out the velcro which i guess i will cut out and have resewn. I don't think you can use the CR speed for SS division, right?

Hello: For USPSA single stack division I am using a CR Speed inner and outer belt setup. On the outer belt I use 6 Safariland 771's and a Comp-Tac belt holster. For IDPA I use just the inner belt and the same holster with 2 single belt mag holders from Comp-Tac. I find that the Comp-Tac is faster for me than the Blade Tech. Thanks, Eric

A quality leather belt, kydex mag pouches and kydex holster will get you going in the right direction fairly inexpensively, and work well for both sports. You can look at one of the safariland holsters as well(try 5187 or the website for applications) but Get a good belt...

The CR Speed, or similar, are totally legal for SS Division (and the best way to go). I recently completely changed my rig to a Double Alpha belt (got it free, and it's virtually the same as the CR Speed belt...a little stiffer actually), Ready Tactical Mag pouches and a Ready Tactical USPSA model holster. It's a really nice setup that I don't think you can beat. Lots more reading if you're interested:

+1 for CR Speed. I use both belts and use a combination of BladeTech holsters and mag pouches with the TekLok system. That way I can easily switch things our from SS to L10, where I am using a different holster/mag pouch set-up.

I vote for CRSpeed. The DA belt is good too, but I've found that its just a tad bigger than the CR, and teklok attachments sometimes won't fit without stressing the plastic.

Yep, CR speed is the way to go. Buy once, cry once. You can always save money on the holster/pouches by going with Blade Tech's lower end injection molded line. It's not kydex, but it works great for me and is INEXPENSIVE. I have 3 of the double mag pouches and the holster:

Holster: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=1396/avs%7CManufacturer_1=BLADE-TECH/avs%7CMake_3=1911/Product/SEMI_AUTO_PISTOL_INJECTION_MOLDED_HOLSTER

Pouches: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=41583/Product/DOUBLE_MAG_POUCH_W_TEK_LOCK

CR Speed Belt: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=10991/avs%7CManufacturer_1=RESCOMP/Product/CR_2001__HI_TORQUE__BELT

For right around $165, you can have a GREAT setup that you won't have to change for a long time.

*edited to add* The Blade Tech pouches and holster fit the thickness of the CR Speed outer belt REALLY well and the TEK-LOK is nice because you can adjust for the width of the belt and use that to raise/lower your mag pouches and holster to some extent.

Hey guy's I had a quick question, I am setting up a new rig for Single Stack USPSA, I wanted to use a CR Speed belt, with CR Speed Versa mag holders, I measured and they meet the 2 inch off the inner belt requirement, but would it be legal with the rule that is has to be suitable for daily wear? As for the holster I am using a Blackhawk level 1 holster (no serpa, only friction retention) which I have used at level 2 and level 3 matches already, my biggest concern is the mag holders.

Thank for the advise

In USPSA Single Stack, the "suitable for every day use" rule only applies to the holster. The CR belt and mag holders are both legal (and widely used).

Great thanks for the clarification. I used the rig this past weekend at a local ZSA match, and it worked out very well.

I will be heading to Area 8 championships this coming Friday.

I've been using two Blade-Tech mag pouches at the local matches in my area. I use a double mag pouch right behind my hip bone, and the quad mag pouch further back. It's much easier for me to grab that 5th, and 6th mag in that configuration. However, I'm not sure its USPSA Single Stack Division legal? Does anyone here know?
