We are still working some final details with the range as well as finding the best deal for hotels. This is another reason why confirmations have been slow to go out. We want to provide you as much information as we can in one email especially since Linda is doing 3 major matches this year.

Please be patient.....we are well ahead of schedule considering the match is 9 months away. Kinda reminds me of Benning, however this is our first year so we are working bugs out and getting the web site together. Stay tuned, I won't let you guys down, ask Jim Norman, he'll tell you!

That's a joke, right? I am actually working 7 major matches this year (maybe 8) but only 4 of them are registering RIGHT NOW. That is not, however, what is holding things up on my end. I have this "kitchen remodel" project going on since Feb 1st & it limits me to working on matches at night after all the contractors/workers are gone. I don't like to open or handle all the checks with people in the house I do not know well. I am starting to send out confirmation messages, but I'm a bit late with it.

<_< Picking on Contractors now

Oh No! They are doing a wonderful job with my new custom pantry & fixing the ancient wiring in my old house (upgrades needed to meet current code). I love the contactors. But when someone I do not know well comes into the house, I prefer they don't see a stack of checks 3 inches high. I just tell 'em I need the two large safes for all my guns. . . and leave a few issues of shooting magazines laying around.

Just a quick update:

Finishing the small items with the range, once these are finalized I have a better idea for some other things such as a catered shooters banquet on Saturday with awards and prizes. Should have hotel information within the next two to three weeks posted for you, please be patient as I am trying to get the best deal possible for you the shooter and the match.

We are locating and negotiating for a top quality vendor for food on the range.

Oh the good news....I have not really pushed hard yet with the sponsors but I have conformed over $52,000 in match prizes already and still way more to come, so stay tuned for a great match, great food and a great prize table.

PV, thanks for the comments. I just try to put a match together that I would want to attend nothing more...I learned years ago, I do this (shooting thing) for fun and that's what it has to be about, having fun!

Yeah... I think it's actually spelled Canuckistan..., but thanks to our socialist public education system I don't spells too gud.

Team Hoser... 3-gun refugees from the North. :-)

Well... As we get older and wider we'll have room for more text on the team shirt... Right now it's "Team Hoser... eh.", But soon we'll be able to add the refugee statement and maybe a "Tim Horton's" or Molson's logo.. :D

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok, so I hate to be the one to ask this question, but is there any consideration for changing these dates since Area 2's Regional Championship is November 9-13? I just know this is going to put a lot of people in a pickle.
