warpspeed
For a couple of different reasons, I started shooting ATA trap earlier this year. I find it a very compelling game. It is for me the pursuit of perfection against only myself. For those not familiar with it, the basic singles event consists of 4 rounds of 25 targets making up a 100 target event. It is a lot harder than it looks. I routinely shoot 1 of the 4 clean but until this weekend, never more than one. Since it was a holiday for many, they had a registered shoot scheduled for Friday, Saturday & Sunday. On Friday, I shot a 97 with the last 50 straight. I was pumped! I was able to shoot again today, Sunday, and picked up right where I left off; 25, 25, 25 & 25. My squad mates were excited as they have been shooting for years and had never even been squadded with someone who broke 100. It was a pretty neat day. smokshwn
Great Job! Your first 100 straight is a very significant milestone that signifies beating a huge mental challenge. Be ready for more soon.
Sarge
I was a registered shooter back in the 80's. I broke 50 straight in a registered shoot and thought that was something. 100 straight is tough. Excellent shooting!!
Fullauto_Shooter
Very cool accomplishment - congrats! I've only toyed around with recreational trap and skeet just a bit (never shot a registered match), but know enough to know that's a big deal.
