I have one, I did check with John before I had it done. I rattles around the box! I have a STI tritoped slide and it weighs about 39oz. I also checke with him about the Mitchall Custom Guins right hand mag reliese. Good to go on that also.

Hello: You can also take metal out of the area under the grips to make weight. Caspian leaves alot of metal there. That way you can use a round top slide. Thanks, Eric

I have a Caspian race ready, kart barrel, FLGR, G-10 grips..STI slide. It makes weight at 42.5oz with a tripp mag.

The way I read the following I am not sure if the STI TRI Top slide is legal for Single Stack:

Prohibited modifications and features:

External modifications or features such as weights or devices to control or reduce

recoil (such as, but not limited to, thumb rests or components which could be used

as such).

Coned barrels, bull barrels, or barrels with flanges, except in 1911 compact pistols

with a barrel length of 4.20 inches or less. All other barrels must have barrel

bushings and conform to factory profile.

Slide lightening, cuts, ports, or any milling providing a competitive advantage

Would that not be considered Slide Lightening?

There's a huge thread about it somewhere. Basically tri tops are legal. The "USPSA" marked single stack that STI sells has one.
