ebg3
Anyone using a STS on their open gun? Likes, dislikes? EG
Supermoto
I ran STS for a little while on my open gun. It was on a Arredondo mount. I didn't really care for it, It was better and brighter than the JPoint that I ran before that. I don't see the benefit of either the STS/jpoint other than having a clear ejection path, But a properly tuned gun will negate that. The STS is brighter than the Jpoint even with double batteries in the Jpoint The screen is significantly smaller than the standard C-more. Its a well made sight, but it now stays on my shotgun. ExtremeShot
Do a search for some of my posts. I had one, but sold it. I needed a bigger dot. I still have the two custom scope mounts forsale if you are interested. D
Doug S
I have the STS on an Open Glock and will have to agree with the brightness. Mine is alot brighter on the auto setting than my JP or Speed bead. I do like the power switch when you can't find your scope cover in the bottom of your shooting bag! I am not shooting the Glock anymore so I am going to move the STS to my AR for my second optic. The STS is a very well made sight and you won't be disappointed with it's quality. Doug

That is the most heard complaint by shooters i have spoken too, lense is not tall enough. Or they would be using it.
joestefano
I am using an STS on my open glock 35. It is mounted on a SJC frame mount. Works great, brightest dot around even with the sun at your back. However I do agree the len's could be taller! sweetback
Has anybody seen or tried the Leupold Deltapoint? I have seen one and looked through it at a match 3 weeks ago.It belonged to a team s&w sponsored shooter. The lense was taller than the STS, the pyramid/dot was very bright even with sun at my back. No on/off switch just a hood to put it to sleep. No battery drawer, but i was told that the zero didn't change when replacing battery. Something about the way the mounting screws were used or numbered.
Jman
C-More is comming out with a newer unit not to long in the future-got that from a rep. Spoke to C-More 3 minutes ago. David a service rep said "zero plans to improve, upgrade or change the STS in any way" FWIW
shooterbenedetto
Ralph Arredondo shoots the delta point 7.0moa with his mount and shim. He likes it. triangle is kinda big at first but he says shooting it under the sun makes the triangle smaller a bit and actually perfect size for some reason?
