  1. ok, constructed wall = 2.2.3.3 Outside a fault line. 10.2.1
  2. Good, I was too lazy to lookup the rule numbers for you BUT, if you download the rulebook from USPSA, you can use CTRL F and search for whatever you want to. Knowing the rules inside and out WILL make you a better competitor . That is part of the homework I talk about when teaching the young up and comers. Know what you can and can't do.
  3. First of all, walls do NOT go to inifinty unless specified on the WSB. They are from the ground to the constructed height. If the wall is "Wholly outside of the fault line" you can not use it for support . You will incur penalties for that. Without a drawing or a picture and a formal question, it is more difficult to help you without more specifics.
  4. I agree. Too much time and energy wasted on the fault lines when the targets could have or should been moved or left alone. Just because a couple of targets are easy to shoot does not mean it is a bad stage. The thing you should be looking for in a final design is CONSISTENCY ! Will all the squads and RO's operate the stage the same way making it a fair comparison.
  5. I have one of these. http://vio-pov.com/ Very good camera. It is small enough to mount anywhere. I mount mine on the visor because it gives me great feedback as to what I am actually looking at when things happen,.exactly. It is waterproof and dustproof and shockproof. It accepts a standard SIM card and has AV outputs. Operates on standard AA batteries and the best thing is that it has a remote start stop. No fumbling to locate the "Record button" which always distracted my shooting before the buzzer went off. I have used mine for several years and the controller (with the case) easily mounts to the back of my belt and I never know I am wearing a camera.
  6. Hi There, Are you in South Florida or SouthWest Florida
  7. Nothing against MGM because I like them but their star needs a redesign. If you want to have a boatload of re-shoots at a match, that star will be the one to get. The original star works pretty darn flawless. We got so frustrated with the MGM star that we just put it in the shed for good, and then our club president accidentally torched the place. New star on the way.

    Dear CZ Custom,

Have you talked to Angus? http://czcustom.com/
  9. I agree with Ben. I bring identical "Twins" to every match. I don't care for the parts idea because I usually would be in a rush to repair or replace and I might not do a good job on the work and it seems risky. My vote (like Ben's) is to bring an identical gun provided you can afford it.
  10. You could always just ask the CZ master himself, Angus. http://czcustom.com/ He can answer a million and one questions that you may have.
  11. There are three conductors in the micro switch. Make sure the wires are on the outside terminals so the middle one is open. That will work
  12. The draw is very different than the RaceMaster. You do NOT need to draw straight up. You can draw at almost any angle and have it easily come out of the holster. It does not use tension to hold your gun, the magnets provide the stability allowing your gun to really rest free of resistance when not locked and it is very secure. I have used the holster for almost a year now and I probably love it more today than when i first got it. It is a good product.
  13. Pat, I think the STI open guns are very good. Dave Dawson is having some specials on them now and you can get his tuning and an ICE mag well at a very decent price. I use 38SC for reasons other than cheap brass. I do pretty much have my pick of the litter with powder and bullet weights. I am not a fan of 9mm BUT that is probably a different topic all together.
  14. Combined results for 2012 USPSA Area 3 Championship Match
  15. They were posted right after the match here: Match Results
  16. Looks like another hot one. Upper 90's for the match.........................
  17. We are getting closer to posting stages, I am reformatting them as we speak!
  18. He won the match? Sorry Pat, I couldn't resist......
  19. Simple. Turn, then draw, then STEP back if you need to engage a target that is on the 180. So it doesn't matter who the shooter is or what match you are at. You as the shooter can calculate your own risks in what you want to do. I seriously doubt that a stage would exist that starts you uprange and then places a target on a 180. Doesn't sound like a good stage design to me. Usually what people do in that situation is during the Q&A section of the stage briefing, the competitor would ask the RO if the target is a 180 violation before they shoot if it were that close. Now for you, with the situation you described, there are too many variables. Your forward step could be beyond a 180 or you could over run your gun on index trying to locate the target on the 180.
  20. Simple. Turn, then draw, then STEP back if you need to engage a target that is on the 180.
  21. To me, it is very clear and there is no doubt it is a DQ. If it were on my stage, I would have stopped you.
