  1. Is the match spilt up between the two days or can all of the stages be shot in one day? Thanks
  2. It's not on your list, but I use WST. It's a little reverse temperature sensitive, but if you know that going in there is nothing to worry about.
  3. I shoot with a .075 Caspian front sight and Bomar rear sight. Like Aircooled6racer, I like to have a lot of light coming in around the edges of the sight.
  4. I also like the Sevigny sights. They are fixed.
  5. This isn't empirical, but I like WST with moly bullets. A lot of the guys who are shooting lead think that WST smokes less with lead and I'm with them when it comes to moly bullets.
  6. I really like WST for moly coated bullets because there's less smoke than with some of the other fast powders. I've heard that the same is true for lead bullets.
  7. Shred, "Wacked" is something they say in New Zealand isn't it?
  8. I'm a big fan of the Sevigny competition sights. I think that you can get a FO front sight with them now.
  9. Jim, Thanks for the information. It looks like it broke at the joint. Is this something that is fairly easy to fix? If it is, I'll try to fix it on my own. Thanks
  10. I'm still having trouble getting this thing put back together. If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks
  11. I'd guess somewhere in the $600-$700 range. I think that Pharaoh Bender's idea is a good one and would make it easier to sell everything.
  12. Here is what I have found so far. The action spring tube (part #7 in Chris' link) doesn't solidly attach to the receiver. Is it supposed to? It looks like it was soldered or something like that to the receiver and that bond broke. Is that the way they are connected or does the tube just fit into the receiver with nothing to fully secure it? Thanks for the help.
  13. Larry, I did take the buttplate off and have everything taken out of the stock. Upon closer inspection, I have found a part that looks broken, so I'll have to figure out what is broken off and how to put it back on. Like always, all help is appreciated. Thanks
  14. Chris, Thanks for the link. After looking at the schematic it looks like I may have lost some parts. I'll have to see if I can figure out what I need. If anyone else has suggestions they are all appreciated. Thanks.
  15. I don't use this gun for competition, but I thought that someone here might be able to help me. I was shooting my Remington 1100 the other day and the buttstock fell off while I was shooting. I looked around for parts that may have fallen out, but I didn't see anything on the ground. With the parts that I have I can't seem to figure out how to put the stock back on. Can someone please tell me how to put this thing back together or point me in the direction of a good online tutorial? Thanks
  16. Extreme Shot, I'm glad you asked this. I was thinking about this the other day and wondered if it would work. I'll stay away from doing so now.

    WST

I'm a big fan of WST. I haven't seed major velocity swings with the weather, but I was down about 2-3PF at L-10 Nats this year due to the heat. I think that the temps were in the 90's.

    New Glock Sights

I'm with Flex. I like the Sevigny. Due to the wider sides, there is more to look at to make sure that the front sight is properly aligned.
  20. If it's not too late please add Bryan C. and Russell B. to the list.
  21. Thanks Dave. I had a lot of help along the way.
  22. Wow. What a popular post. Just in case someone out there is interested, I e-mailed John and his answer is that grip tape is legal on the grip of a production gun but nowhere else. The grip would be the sides of the grip and the frontstrap and backstrap. Under or in front of the trigger guard isn't legal as it would be an external modification and fall under item 21.5 of the production rules.
