  1. Where can I get a multiple pack of different 1911 springs in different weight's that I can use to match the springs to my load. I would like to find ones like the Wilson calibration packs, But I'm having a hard time finding a vendor who has something like that. Any idea would be appreciated! Thanks Jeff
  2. Yea 20bucks and change for a brick ,almost $3 for a box on the American Eagle

  4. Rick ,have you tired Titegroup, That's what I have been using, And its working good for me. I can usually find it off and on at Palmetto State Amory on Fernandina Rd I use 4.0 grs over a Missouri !47gr LFP Haven't chrono any of the loads but they are soft shooting out of my G35 with a 9-40 conversion barrel with no muzzle flip
  5. N30 1 &4 lb and accurate No9 1, 4 & 8 lbs in stock at Powder Valley as of this post
  6. Missouri 200gr Coated SWC & Unique. Unique is a little on the dirty side ,But 4.5 grs under the 200gr bullet is a nice all-around plinking load in my 5"Springer .
  7. Check out Richard lees manual online I think I remember its on lees website, I'm sure you can go there and find some data to help you out. If have one or both of Richard lees manuals ,That would be a good starting point!

  9. I just wanted to share what experience I had at the range today! I was shooting my springer 45ACP, and after my session with it. As I was picking up my brass I hit a goldmine! Someone before me, Had to be the day before, Had been shooting 38super and super comp. Well needless to say they left and also left their brass. Bad for them good for me. Not a big score but for about 100 cases Ill take it !
  10. Check this site may be useful in finding a range near you! http://rangelistings.com/state.php?state=NC
  11. You say HP is that plated hollow point? If that's the case will the plated FP work. I know its their rules and house. But cant you get fragmenting from jacketed bullets. Now the coated would work fine! Just curios why your saying HP If your meaning hollow point then I can understand that!
  12. Rainiers 147gr plated FP http://www.midwayusa.com/product/1050377852/rainier-leadsafe-bullets-9mm-355-diameter-147-grain-plated-flat-nose?cm_vc=ProductFinding Cheaper than Speer! I am currently using this bullet and from my preliminary testing they are working great over 4.0 grs of VV N 340
  13. This would be my advice! And also I would heed the advice to store that much powder away from my living area. With the rubber seal and screw on lids ,You may just have a few bombs on your hands. Call Aliant and get advice from experts in powder handling.
  14. Main reason I got away from No7. Was the grainy stuff left behind. I went to No 5 seemed to be a lot better. Till I started competition, By then I was using VV N330, soon had to go to VVN 320 or 340. Now since those can't be found. I have settled on Titegroup

  16. I use the same powder charge for plated bullets I do for Lead cast bullets. I am loading N340 and some N320. But as danman said, start with a lesser charge and work up slow and be CAREFULL!

  21. Thanks Guys, Sounds like APW is the way to go! Got to check out a couple FFL dealers here to se what if anything they will charge to receive my pistol once I get it back. Jeff
  22. Thanks! Sarge. Just one question, Since I have never shipped a pistol to an outside vendor to have work done and I'm not a FFL dealer. Can the pistol be shipped back to me or do I have to have it sent to a dealer? I know I have sent rifles to Springfield , and had them sent back to me, But I'm not sure with all the new laws these days!
