Has anyone tried primers from Fed armament ? I have a chance to pick some up, But have never seen them much less use any of them! Any advice would be appreciated.

Sarge, No I am not unhappy I got married, I wouldn't change a thing, But I do get tired of reading these threads , And I almost always see someone bragging how he found primers to put on top of the thousands he already has ! Of course I know that all competitors keep well stocked on primers ,But in times like this, if you score a couple thousand primers, you don't have to get on here and brag. If you find them good for you ! Like I said in my OP , If you or anyone else thinks IM just bitching because I don't have any SPP then everyone can kiss my ass!!! Not everyone can sit and check the net everyday, or travel to every LGS everyday!

I hope I don't get locked out for this! I'm tired of every time I see a thread about the primer situation, And someone says that the problem is hoarding, Everyone starts about supply and demand, Yes supply and demand have a lot to do with it, Well hoarding also has a lot to do with it too ! when I'm reading the thread, and everyone is saying either supply demand or hoarding is the cause, I cant stand it when no one really wants to blame any of it on hoarding, I see guys that will always go for supply and demand, and say that everyone should have seen this coming and stocked up early, well, A lot of us who reload, don't have time or money to watch all the suppliers on the net ,or spend time going to every LGS within a 50 mile radius then when they find primers they are here or another gun site saying how they scored primers, then in the same breath brag about the 10 or 20k primers they already have in stock, that to me is hoarding! I understand that many that do shoot a lot of competition do need a good supply on hand for all the matches they shoot, Hell I was one of them. I would shoot 7 matches a yr GSSF! on top of local steel matches , so I would try to keep a good supply of powder ,primers and bullets! Seems to me that since we are in this situation, people should not try and buy up every primer they see, look at GB, who in the hell wants to pay 150 or more for a thousand primers. since this crap began, I go to my local, academy, sportsman's warehouse or PSA I see the lines of people buying up guns as fast as they can, ammo the same, and the new reloaders I'm seeing is unreal. SO yes the demand is just getting higher. and the virus hasn't helped anything! Everyone can tell me I'm bitching because I can buy primers, well everyone that tells me that can kiss my A$$!! Ands so everyone knows ,YES I am out of small pistol primers, Don't no when I will be getting some, But I do have a good supply of LP and SR. So if i really need 9mm I will use SRP! I don't shoot matches like I did before I got married, So I'm happy just putting some rounds down range, Hell If it comes down to it, I have plenty to shoot my Cap and ball revolver for awhile. So don't tell me hoarding has nothing to do with it ,when it does !!! PS If you are sitting on 20k primers I'm happy for you Now if you want to come back tell me I'm just bitchin because I cant get SPP then have at it, Because I really don't give a rats a$$ !!!

DId a shearch and didnt find anyhting helpful! Has anyone got a load for a 165gr buillet in 9mm, what charge/powder are you using? This is an xtreme 165gr plated bullet ! Thanks Jeff

I adree 100% ! And I do know economics. Just burns my ass , when I see prices like I saw on GB!

No wonder ,we cant find primers, all the ass^^^^s on gunbroker have them and with those kind of prices they are selling them for, All I can say is they can shove them where the sun doesnt shine !!! OK, yes I know I should have jad enough foresight to see this coming and bought a few extra, But since Im not shooting any matches what I have will do me for awhile! It just gets me , how some people talk about buying in bulk, then you see things like the the gunbroker sharks selling primers for quaddruple what they are worth. And I would bet that some of those are some of the very same people that talk about buying primers so they could stock up and be ready for these lean times! But I will say, I have been able to replenish my supply of bullets! Xtreme is on the bal with getting their orders out and in a short amount of time.

I am working on getting back ibnot competition ona limited basis. What I really want to know is which holster do you guys prefer, I have a safariland 012, (1911) . I have a new Staccatoo XL ,in 9mm and I am needing a holster for it, I have been looking at the new safariland 015, But it isnt avalible at the moment. I can buy a safariland 014 from Midwayusa, But wanting some advice on getting the right holster. As you can tell I like safariland, But what do you guys like/prefer? Help me get a new holster for my new toy! Thanks Jeff

Does anyone have this combo and what make holster are you using? I just bought my first Staccato today ,an XL. And now, I am looking for a competition holster to us with it. I have checked out DAA and Safariland But haven't seen any that are specific to the Staccato XL. Any info anyone can give me is appreciated! Thanks Jeff PS. This is my first 2011 gun!

AMEN to common sense

Ok so you as everyone is calling it stock up! How many If anyone is shooting a match these days, the virus has all but shut down shooting matches. My local range is open, But as far as I know they are not holding any matches. I for one am not going crazy and buying all the components I can find, Because of people doing just that all online suppliers are having longer shipping times! As I need them and can find them I will buy bullets powder and primers But I cant kill a virus with a bullet and I cant wipe my ass with a bullet, So I will save my money buy toilet paper ,and food. Oh BTW I do have enough ammo, If someone comes after my toilet paper or to harm my family I can take care of business So to all the guys buying up all they can ,just to (stock up ) as they call it, I wish you all the best, And hopefully you don't have to put up with some of the long waits we saw from the last panic buying!

JMO As long as we as reloaders keep our heads on straight, and don't start panic buying! We should be ok, But what I've seen with the toilet paper and just about everything else having to do with everyday life, I think the mass media is going to be the cause of it. PSA and other gun shops here in Columbia SC have already put limits on components , ammo and even firearms! PSA had a limit of 5 boxes per caliber of ammo, When I was in there everyone I saw had the limit, even seen guys paying , going to their vehicle then back in to buy more. Me and the wife went to wally world to buy our weekly groceries. And wow ! I guess we are going to have to learn to use leaves again! The panic is already in full swing, so I say lets not add to it buy spending our paychecks to buy all the components we can at this time maybe just what we need ( not just stockpiling)

Is it legal to sell this type of ammo? The ammo in question is 30-06 API armor piercing blacktip ammo Made by Talon Corp ,I bought this ammo back in the 90s and I have sold mu M1 garand and don't have any other 30-06 rifle. SO is it legal for me to sell the ammo? Thanks Jeff

Has anyone ,shot or owns a Rock Island XTM 22 in 22mag . I saw my first one at Academy sports, and Just from holding it and looking it over, I think it will be a great pistol, very smooth slide comes with 2 mags, each holding 14 rds. of 22mag, Need a little input from current owners, and info would be appreciated. OK guys, Need a little help, Im looking at maybe doing a trade for a Magnum research 1911 G pistol. I have never owned / or shot of their 1911, Has anyone here owned or shot one of these? Would like to find out some pros and cons of it before I go for a trade. I do own 1911, Springfield, Para , and so forth, Just need a little info on the Magnum Research 1911! Thanks Jeff

For 200gr SWC ,My go to bullet is the Missouri 200gr SWC ,both coated and uncoated over 5.4 grs unique ,Both are very accurate out of both my Springfield Stainless and Para Ordinance Elite. Cant remember OAL But never any trouble out of either gun with SWC. The Extreme and Rainier SWC are a different story! I also like the groove less SWC by Missouri. Either one I use is on the Brinell hardness scale at 18 .

I use Missouri bullets ! I was asking about falcon, because I seen them online. In fact just ordered 1000 of Missouri IDP#1 200gr semi wadcutter I prefer the their uncoated bullets and they do have the blue lube. I've shot 1000s of these never a problem with leading ! Don't know if falcons blue lube is the same as Missouri But it doesn't cause a problem for me. Just saying . Thanks for the reply though Jeff
