  1. I usually take the trigger put between fingers and sand it on a flat surface on some sand paper. When thats done then I polish.
  2. Gun not fully into battery will cause off center hits on primers.
  3. When mounting meopta, you'll need to put some shims underneath scope to get it centered to barrel. You can use some playing cards, or I used feeler gauges. Purple loctite is also ok.
  4. Send it back. There is a lot of stress when the hammer hits frame/firing pin. Eventually it will break.
  5. Anybody have an opinion on which optic is faster for knockdown steel. Aimpoint mini w/4moa (tube) or C-more w6moa. Used on a 38 super 327 full size revolver. Which is faster to pick up dot after reloads.
  6. Would you happen to know where I can purchase a casepro. I cant find it anywhere. Casepro website is no longer available. Thanks al

  9. Anybody know proper procedure in cutting slide dovetail for a shooters conn sidewinder racker? Dovetail for sight is is 356 by 60. Problem is that the racker is thicker than the dovetail cutter dept. also it will stick up too high from top of slide and will hit my scope mount. Will I need to mill top of racker?
  10. Cool thanks for the info. Yes I like it also, easy on easy off. No worry about having that allen key around. Thanks again
  11. Thanks for the info. BTW would you happen to know which beginning and end force will be sufficient. There are so many options. Thanks again
  12. Anybody know procedure to install a spring loaded ball detent in dovetail to hold in a slide racker. Are they pressed in or threaded? Tired of dealing with the setscrew that keeps comming loose.
  13. What is the best way to cut back a slide. I have a milling machine and some end mills. Not sure if this is best method though. Want to make a open shorty gun. Thanks
  14. Try measuring your 38 super bullets and 9mm bullets. They are same thing. Some 9mm bullets measure same as 38 sup(.356). I'm thinking that they are all made from same mold. Not positive but it sure seems that way. I have a sheuman barrel also in 38 sup. I use IMR 7625 7.3gr W/zero 125gr jhp. makes major no problems.
  15. Dan, What sixe reamer for your comps. Your titanium comp says to ream a bit larger than how it comes. Which size would I ask for? Thanks
  16. Check pin distances on that jig. Make sure they are same as on your gun. A good purchase is external pins Hello, On that marvel jigW/egw sear, did you have to adjust the screw on side inwards to get proper angle for sear?
  17. I have a sti bare slide. I want to lighten it up. I still have not made any sight cuts yet, I'm probably going with a bo-mar rear and dawson front. Do I have to make sight cuts first, before I make any other cuts? I know want to flatten the top. How deep do I cut the flat top? does any body know which cutters I will need for rear bo-mar and also front for a dawson front sight?
  18. Does anybody know what size flat end mill bit to use also how deep to cut a flat top w/serrations on an sti slide.
  19. Anybody have any opinion on swithing uppers on pistols. I'm thinking instead of building a whole new pistol- just build another upper (new sti slide & barrell fitted)and keep same frame. 38 super open to a 38 super limited. any advice? I am assuming that a new slide will fit my existing frame(both sti) as far as width. But for the height I will probably have to file slide to fit. Didn't get new slide yet so I'm for now curious to see if anybody has done this.
  20. Want to learn how to fit a barrel on my sti 2011 frame. Can anybody tell me if a bull barrel is easier to fit in 9mm opposed to a bushing barrel. I'm using a standard sti frame-non ramped. Also I want to keep the gun as light as possible. I assume a bushing barrel is lighter, not positive about that, but if its a lot harder to fit for a first timer then I"ll go with the bull barrel. Thanks
