  1. I have one of each. I prefer the slightly smaller model because it fits in my range cart. I have had many others over the years and none are built as well as the Shooters Connection bags. The quality cannot be beat.
  2. We just call the classic targets- "turtles"
  3. Then here is your chance to be a match director. --We run a monthly match that consists of 6-7 stages with 140-150 rounds. --We generally have between 70-75 shooters of varying degrees of experience and ability. --Depending on the shooter, a 32 round field course may take between 20 sec to over a minute. --We start at 11am (and cannot start sooner - no debate) --We need to be done and all the ranges cleared of props and equipment by 4pm (again - no debate) --It is logistically impossible to score things they way you want them to be scored What do you, as match director, cut? Fewer stages or fewer shooters? What do you, as match director, do when experienced people stop coming to your match because it moves too slow? YOU are now the match director. It's your decision. Go for it. I may not make it to Sothern Chester a lot but when I do, there is a super mix of stages that appeal to all levels of shooters. Match is very enjoyable and I have never heard a complaint. Don't change a think.
  4. I shoot a Leupold 1.1-8 because of the skinny sammys. Other options are the 1-6 Leupold and the 1-5 Swarovski. Great scope, lots of coin.
  5. In order to bring the guns back into the US you need a form 4457. It is best if you register each item of value (firearm) on a seperate form IN ADVANCE with customs. The registration is good for life. In order to get the handguns into Canada you will need to get an authorization to transport from the Chief Firearms Office of the Province of where you are taking the guns. The form you need to fax to them is on the internet. You then fax it to them at least 1 month prior to the match and then wait for the ATT. They may want to know your FULL intineray including border crossing location and hotel. When you travel to Canada you will take your guns in a locked box with trigger locks to Canada Customs on your way into Canada. Just tell the person at the border you have handguns and they will tell you what to do. Show them the same form you faxed to the CFO so they can check the serial numbers. They will inspect them while you sit in your car. After they do so, take the form, ATT, match invitation and $25.00 Canadian into Canada Customs and they will have you sign the form in fron of them and they will stamp the form. 10 round mags only in Canada. Any questions, PM me with a phone number.
  6. Some of the LPRGC shooters will be there. I am shooting Area 7 that Saturday and unfotunately will not be able to make it.
  7. Darn it was hot. Nice match and ROs. Good stages. Lots of shooters bailed on account of the heat. I am beat!
  8. Yes -- but they are not yet built, so the execution could change slightly..... Given that they were NROI approved, I wouldn't expect major changes, but every once in a while what looks clean on the page, turns out to have an issue in the bay in 3D.... Thanks Nik. See you Saturday.
  9. Looking forward to the match. Are the stages that were posted as preliminary the final stages?
  10. Linda Chico Peacemaker Peacemaker site has been down for a while now.
  11. You lose FOPA protection if you spend the night in NJ.
  12. My USPSD Classification is not recognized by IPSC because the classifers are different courses of fire.
  13. I would suggest trying Shooters Connection on this forum. Great people to deal with and if you register as an Enos member there are discounts.
  14. I think that with 12 stages they will be using every bay they have.
  15. I had it happen last year at a Level 3 match that I would rather not name.
  16. But keep in mind that a fingr in the trigger guard while moving (to a certain extent) and while reloading is a match DQ and is often overlooked by local clubs. After all, if a competitor's finger is not in the trigger guard the gun has difficulty firing itself.
