    New P-10 F CR

Found out the stupid way at a match this past weekend that my grip doesn't agree well with the factory extended mag release. Not sure what I was doing differently than when I zero'd/got a short 300ish round session in before going to a match but I accidentally dropped a mag in 3 out of 4 stages and it's being swapped for the standard size. Overall really happy with it outside of that, time will tell if I find anything else.

It was available for $800 for a short bit, pretty easy to find for $900 right now. I'd say the main reason you don't see many is because of other manufacturers having similar style platforms that people are used to and love for a similar price point or lower, X5 Legions, 34's, TP9's, etc and most CZ "people" are more likely to go with a Shadow 2 or an SP-01. If I wasn't looking to stick with the P10 platform because of it being what I carry, I'd still be playing with my Shadow 2's. They aren't the budget pick, they aren't the "original" option from CZ, but they do still do their job relatively well.

Live fire is going to finalize what I end up going with but I've got three different triggers for P10's and so far I'm surprised at how much I prefer the HBI shoe on the CR with the CGW striker spring over the Apex kit despite it being about a full pound heavier with the Apex disco and back plate. Gonna play with both and see if I actually prefer more of a distinct wall on the HBI compared to the Apex, but so far in dry fire I very much like the HBI. Had an overwatch precision shoe/striker that I thought I liked but the HBI feels better on the finger, it's probably going to be sent down the road.

The magwell might be the only thing I'm not overly crazy about. Not a huge deal by any means but we'll see how it holds up over some dry/live fire since it relatively speaking seems a little skimpy for material and possible easy to get eaten up.

In my *opinion*, the legion has an better factory trigger (I sold my legion before I did anything and haven't played with the P10's trigger yet), I just prefer the P10 grip profile, and the controls are preferable on the CZ as well. Waiting on getting a chance to shoot the P10 before and after throwing on a brass back strap and seeing how I feel about it. I'm already leaving my Shadow 2's for the P10 though so idk, for whatever reason I seem to like the striker fired triggers more than my CGW kitted S2, I'm probably just an weird anomaly lol.

Idk, if the additional small features don't do it for you, I think the additional "wiggle" room in the chamber gives a lot of peace of mind for me. At the end of the day it's not a huge game changer but in combination with everything I'm not overly mad about paying the $900 I spent for what I got.

Have you played with silica carbide and did you intentionally go with the stippling over that for any specific reason?

I'd really like to see the differences in accuracy, if any, or if the new changes were primarily just to allow a longer load/wider variety.
  9. It was asked earlier in this thread but I haven't seen a response, has anyone played with the overwatch precision triggers yet? Not necessarily looking for a super light trigger, just wanting something that I'm not going to have to deal with any spring issues and it's tempting in the way it's advertised.

    TS2

+1 I'm guessing the competition market is still relatively small compared to their typical market, I find it hard to believe they haven't heard the complaints about the magwell before, really thought this would be addressed as most of the other changes seem to be mainly aesthetic other than the grip shape, kinda disappointed as I've been trying to tell myself to hold off of buying something until how these come out, guess I'll keep waiting for the DWX lol.

    CZ TS 2

I know for sure he put a flashlight on for weight on his frame, I'm saying entirely separate from that, I'm almost positive there is/was someone that was testing and using weights on their slide with a noticeable amount of success with their .40 gun.

    CZ TS 2

Didn't Vogel throw weight on his limited gun slide to slow it down and help recoil a touch? Thought I saw an IG post from someone else as well, could be crazy idk.
  13. I have medium ish sized hands and relatively short fingers, it probably is mainly because I started with a S2, but I prefer the S2 over the sp-01's I've handled without a doubt. Whenever I recommend a gun to anyone any more it's purely based on what feels best in their hands that allows them to manipulate the gun without much effort fwiw.
  14. Anyone have any thoughts on durability vs the factory slide stops with this being a different material?
  15. Searched and posted in the non sales chop shop thread and having issues trying to find consistent answers. Any help is appreciated, I'm only partially knowledgeable about CZ's and want to verify before anything gets bought... Friend of mine is trying to get into limited with his witness elite match (in 10mm for now, he'll be looking for a barrel here soon), and is having trouble trying to find a LEFT handed holster suited for USPSA. Will the full dust cover versions work or should he be contacting a few companies to try to find someone that makes them? Also, outside of the barrel, what else should be swapped for match ready reliability? Thanks guys.

  17. Good idea, I'll be doing this here shortly.
  18. I have one of the older style primary machine cut slides that requires the shorter screws as well, any tips on how to cut down the screws without messing up the threads?
  19. It doesn't help that he's got a set of palm swells on it as well, I love the palm swells on my S2, but it's too much on the TSO, grips I have are the lok thin bogies as well, so if that doesn't work then I think I'll have my answer on the TSO. That and the magwell is really a disappointment, I knew about it prior to seeing it in person but I didn't think it would affect it as much as it can. Blending it isn't a big deal, I just would rather my gun not look like an aging adult actress's a_-hole.
  20. Have you had a chance to test this out yet?
  21. I'm just waiting to get my hands on both the DWX and this, finally got my hands on a TSO and the TSO's grip is larger than what's comfortable for me. I really wanted to like it and I still have a set of grips I'm going to throw on it to reduce the thickness but for now I think I'm ruling it out. Waiting to get some rounds through a buddies but as of right now, I'm leaning more towards something with a bit smaller grip for my girly hands.
  22. I emailed them and got some answers... I figured I'd ask just to be absolutely sure, but the 9mm and .40 are the same size externally. The limited versions of these will come with the magwell and basepads - didn't ask how many mags/basepads though. Magwells will be blended, the TSO woes with this won't be an issue with the A01LD's They have mags available. Grip feels similar to the TSO, but has a higher cut and not quite as wide. Squared off trigger guards will be available for an upcharge, prices not set in stone yet. The hard chrome is going to be the standard coating for these, other options are possible. Probably could've had a few more questions with more info, but figured I'd share, I was pretty excited to see the DWX come out but I'm starting to think I'll be going with this instead without the pic rail and not wanting to have much variance between trigger styles, all depends on when I get my hands on both.
  23. I'd like to think they'll open up the options for those wanting an open variant and ensuring the barrels are gtg for 9 major, and that slide stop upgrade looks like a hell of a step up, surprised it's taken this long for anyone to do so.
  24. It'd be really cool if the posts in the DWX thread could be about the DWX instead of other stuff, maybe it's just me.
