Tevo's version is almost out. Further back and a different angle. It would be interesting to compare performance.

Let us know how you like the man-o-war from Odin. Thumb rests are definitely personal preference if they work for you or not.

But seems Odin is now calling out Tevo on Instagram for "copying" their design for the P320. Even though Tevo has been making thumbrests for years and Odin just started this year. To each their own. 🤷‍♂️ Drama...

On a side note, I wouldn't be surprised if USPSA finally allows race holsters in all divisions soon enough.

I didn’t know tevo was working on one. It’s pretty similar for sure. Theirs also looks closer to the grip and an increased angle. I’m not sure I’d like that. The Odin is a bit cramped IMO, and the tevo has less room. I’ll have to check it out when released.

I would be careful on how much you remove.  TXG modules are very brittle.  Thus, they could crack and/or break easy if dropped or the magazine is smacked into the grip hard enough.

The grip from one of my practice guns disagrees…

I’ve never had a single issue in 4 years and 250k+ rounds

Who made it?  What holster do you run with it?

It’s made by Odin armory.  They’ve been making a similar thumbrest for awhile, but I didn’t mess with it before because there were no holsters that worked and were USPSA legal. However the new DAA Max holster fits with minimal trimming.

I bet the holster loves that thing.

It actually fits pretty nicely in the DAA max holster with a small modification.

  5. Got a chance to try this thumbrest out, and I have to say I like it. It’s huge and fugly though.

  6. According to some on the internet the rune tactical follower will allow 24 rounds in a p320 mag I bought some to try out and they do fit 24 rounds, however it’s tight and I wouldn’t consider using them in a match.

Im wondering I’d there is anyone out there with any experience after they’re broken in.

Not sure. Have prob 15k with a 13 and no issue. I've cracked about 5 3XL's using 12's.

Interesting. Never had or heard of anyone having that problem

Switching back to a 13#.  First shot on the 12 cracked my glass.  I have cracked quite a few sights with a 12#.  I have so many new springs(Sig 12#, Wolff 13# var, ISMI 12#, ISMI 12.5) I am going to put them for sale.  I usually buy 3 or 6 at a time, lol.  Thanks for your help.

‘I’ve never cracked the glass on a sight from just shooting. Tens of thousands of rounds with a 12lb spring. Are you sure this wasn’t just a coincidence?

For the non-shadow I guess it's MSRP, $900 - $1k. But I really like the modularity of the P320. It's a real bummer I can't buy form an FFL here in CA. I spoke to Sig Sauer yesterday and one of their lead CS guys said eventually the FCU would fail, it would just be a matter of when, not if.

So, for the record, what’s the max round count you have on one single handgun?

I read that to mean the secondary is  a ruler.  If the pad doesnt conform,,, cant really see how a pad wouldnt conform unless it didnt fit,,, but thats what it says.
It also says  THE GUAGE,,,  singular,, the gauges..plural.
Way that is written,, other gauges are meaningless and shouldnt be for official use.

    According to your interpretation…

  11. So after looking at all the info, I have 2 sticking points.

First, the rule book does not state that the EGW gauge is the only acceptable gauge. They way I read it is, the egw gauge is preferred, but not required.  Since these mag extensions fit the EGW, but not other style gauges, that’s a problem.

Also, the rules state that the gauge width extends to infinity. I know what I consider the width. But this is also left open to interpretation. One man’s width, could be another man’s height or length….

The entire problem is, you could show up at a major with these extensions and have a chance at being bumped to open, depending on how the RM reads the rule book.

things like measurements should leave no room for interpretation.

    Found this video

I just checked my pistol and the striker does stay protruded. I have dry fire this gun a lot. So maybe this is why the striker is sticking out in the other test.

I’ll have to order a new spring and see if that fixes it. Gun functions fine tho with live ammo.

Sig stopped selling individual striker parts last year. They now only sell the complete assembly.  Sometimes you can get the parts through other retailers, but it’s less common now.  This is the main reason I stopped caring about it.

Is it a deep scratch or it was just cast that way since new? I was just curious because the other side appears to be smoothly rounded.

It’s a nothing. There is nothing there, mostly likely it’s a strand of grease.

  14. The striker reset spring gets crushed from dry firing the gun. The striker is meant to stop once it hits a primer. With an empty chamber, it over compresses the spring and crushes it fairly quickly.

A dead give away is if you see the striker poking out of the hole in the slide. I guess it could possibly ignite a round, when releasing the slide from slide lock. I don’t think it makes any difference in function. I gave up replacing the spring years ago.

Are you able to tell the difference in wear and tear visually on the FCU? I'm very curious because since it's completely modular does it also get like slide rail or ejector wear like regular guns, or only the replaceable grip gets the brunt of the stress and wear?

It wears everywhere there is metal to metal contact. But that is pretty much only the slide tabs.

Does it look worn? More like, it looks used.. There is no appreciable difference visually, but im sure there would be a difference if I actually measured them.

  16. Here are some pics that illustrate my point. Notice how it doesn’t fit into the springer gauge that measures the entire baseplate. But it does fit the egw gauge because the egw only measures half of the baseplate. If the egw measured the entire base plate it wouldn’t fit. IMO the magazine isn’t fully under 141.25mm.🤷‍♂️

They offer 2 types  "pass for sure" and "really really close" , in the ones Ive installed  both types passed on the egw gauge   very nice basepad

Right, but I’ve been to majors, including at least 1 area match where they used a gauge that covered the entire bottom of  the base. These extensions definitely would not pass those gauges. Seems like an easy arbitration, but also a huge hassle.

  18. I’ve been looking at the +2 mag extensions for the p320 by Henning. And I’m curious if anyone has had an issue with them passing equipment check. The extension is shaped in such a way that only the back portion of the mag fits in the gauge. This works because the gauge only measures the back portion. The front half of the extension has some ridges that are clearly too long to fit, if the gauge measured the entire bottom of the base pad.

    See attached pic.

    opinions or experiences?
