  1. They do not stake the castle nut? Understand this is a competition gun but still.
  2. You have to have the modular trigger to swap faces (built with the custom builder). The one that comes with the stock competition and steel challenge models are not the modular variant. Well technically they are 3 port..just ones vertical and ones sideways. You mean the steel challenge comp, correct?
  3. Damn...SIG dropped the ball on this. Now I need to grab my p320 and check this.
  4. Keith mentioned if you want to swap the sig barrel to the faxon on your older Lockwood its about $300. All new lockwoods come with the faxon. He suggested not to swap out unless you've shot out your barrel, or you are having accuracy inconsistencies.
  5. I just emailed Keith. You are correct. Time frame...the Sig barrels were hard to get and back ordered extensively (4-6 months at times. that was the delay with my slide) and with the faxon they save time because the dimensions are 90% to their spec and they do not have to weld the barrels up like the Sig ones. BUT, it does allow them to get a bit tighter relationship between the barrel/slide/fcu...how much...he didn't say. Its a yes/no answer. They "tightened up some tolerances".
  6. Interesting, as I have one of the first batches with the SIG barrel. Now interesting to see they went custom Faxon.
  7. I will update the thread once I get it figured out.
  8. S&B 124. HOT PF LOL. yes. same ammo entire time.. Yes, using preload rings. Just as pictured. Yes, but I have left it alone as it arrived because it has worked.
  9. Removed the delrin bumper at the end of the buffer
  10. Have a PSA AR-v custom build I did with a Taccom 3 stage buffer and I am getting major hammer follow...two/three shots. Running a CMC 9mm pcc trigger. Looks clean. and disconnector test seems to work fine. (hold trigger push hammer, release check) Ran fine for most of the match until about stage 6. Thought maybe the travel wasn't enough. Removed a spacer. Did test fire of about 20+ rounds double tapping in the bay...No issue..Temporarily fixed it but the issue resumed the following stage towards the end after about 20-25rds. Then i swapped to someone else's gun to finish the match. The trigger reset every time and the bolt stripped the round every time. Have never had this issue until this weekend. Been using this setup for over a year and a half without issue. Any suggestions? Not sure how to fix this.
  11. Not to mention its mostly a polymer upper
  12. @marblerocks its right here...in bold. You get what you pay for and there is a market for everyone's budget. Don has made that clear.
  13. not for $1200...no thanks! Ill wait.
  14. held an m&p metal at the shop today....why does the front strap wiggle and move around?
  15. Weird....the trigger seems to be all over the place then...Some people have reported light triggers some heavy. But I believe they are supposed to average around 4lbs?
  16. Been using this with good results but its pricey: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5P9SYN/ Just got this to try and so far so good for the money (cheaper for more oz): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VDNLNY9
  17. The bays at our range face right into the sun. The SRO loves to "double dot" itself compared to other optics.
  18. Not not at all. It will just "feel" (subjective) snappier and will return faster. Shoot it enough, it won't matter. Its all preference. Some guys like the long barrels. But most feel it can be too "clunky".
  19. The FCU is the firearm...serialized part...so..ya.
  20. Right...even videos about it...hardly anything.
  21. Blazer Brass 115 is on the softer power factor side...you should be using a 70 or even the 80 imo
  22. I mean I am glad they have awesome customer service, etc...but they keep posting current gun photos on Instagram with horrible blending (grip safety to grip/frame) and even machine marks on the grip and mainspring housing. And the gaps seem to be inconsistently huge or tight between the beaver tail and frame. I feel at the price point. it should be better blended. It should not be leaving the facility having to be sent back to be blended, smoothed, etc...my .02.
