  1. I agree and don't hesitate to carry them on a daily basis in my G19.
  2. My upper actually shipped yesterday and has a delivery date of Friday. I should be able to get out and test it this weekend.
  3. I have a bunch of Magpul and ETS glock mags and haven't any issues with them.
  4. Kinda where I ended up after thinking about it too. Just got a shipment notification, but I'll be surprised if it actually gets out the door today or tomorrow. I've never been too impressed with PSA shipping times, but at least it was free.
  5. I ordered on of these last night. Guess I'll be doing some indoor PCC matches this winter.
  6. If that's the style you prefer, ask him about it. He can set up a trigger any way you want it. He's a freaking Glock trigger wizard.
  7. I agree. I put one of Johnny's triggers in my 3 gun G34 recently and I love it. Not only does it have a defined wall, it has the best reset of any trigger I've tried so far.
  8. Other than the basepads, those A2 mags don't look any different than the RP9 mags. Also the fact that they've stated that their double stack 1911 mags will fit Para's makes me believe they are the same mag as well.
  9. The 19rd Remington double stack mags appear to just be the RP9 mags with a different basepad, but they're listed at $60 on Remington's website. Pretty sure that basepad won't fit the RIA magwell either. https://www.remington.com/shop/1911-19-9-Magazine%2C-Steel%2C-9mm%2C-Aluminum-Match-Base/p/17794
  10. They’re factory 18rd mags and Remington just made the tubes slightly longer to accommodate the extra round.
  11. I bet those extensions would work with RP9 mags in your gun. The RP9 mags are about 0.25" longer than the MG mags, so they should fit with the factory magwell. You might just be out of luck with that damn fatty though.
  12. The Dawson toolless extensions work on my MG mag and as the spring is loosening up I'm getting closer to 20 reloadable, but definitely not 21 and it's gone full salt shaker on me a few times. There are slight wear marks on the extensions where it contacts the magwell, but it doesn't affect insertion. Based on rumor in this thread though, Dawson has quit producing those extensions, so we're hosed again.
  13. All I want are mags that hold 22-23, like my Glock mags w/TTI extensions, and work all the time. The only mag I have that works is the factory MG w/Dawson basepad and it holds 19 reloadable, 20 max. It seems like MBX, or tuning STI/SV/SPS mags to work in the RIA, is the only option. To get enough of them to shoot USPSA or a pistol heavy 3 Gun stage, I’ll be approaching the cost of buying the gun in the first place. Starts making an STI make sense and seem like a good investment.
  14. I just picked up one of the Brownell's Rapid Fire triggers, which is basically the same as the S3G. I ran it in my 10.5" pistol this weekend and didn't have any bump fire issues, even running the lighter trigger spring. I threw my CMMG .22 conversion in it and purposely tried to get it to bump fire, but sadly was only able to get the occasional double.
  15. It's a little harder for me to figure out mags living in Colorado. Can't just order them and see what works like you people in free states
  16. Shot the RP9 mags with Arredondo extensions for the first time today and it was another fail. I had no issues with the MecGar mag, but the RP9’s dropped out on the first or second shot every time regardless of round count. I’m going to try tuning the mag catch slot on them, but once again I’m thinking just spending the money on MBX mags is worth it.
  17. It actually happened when I tried to see if I could seat the mag on a closed slide with 22. I'm going to try smoothing out any rough spots inside the mags, as well as smoothing out the edges of the follower. It's a pretty tight fit and probably not going to help feeding.
  18. I got a couple RP9 mags and the Arredondo performance packs for them. I put all the Arredondo parts in them and got 21 reloadable, and was able to get 22 in easily, but it turned into a salt shaker. It actually jammed up so bad that I had to use a screwdriver to finally get the follower and spring loose, which of course put some gouges into the follower. I tried it with the Arredondo extension and insert with the factory spring and follower and got 20 reloadable, 21 max. I was surprised when they got jammed up since other people have had them work without issues. Getting 20 reloadable is better than nothing, but every time I keep trying to make cheaper mags work, the MBX mags look better and better...
  19. Damn, really making that plate sing!
  20. Finally got my RIA 9mm running 100%. I gave up on the factory extractor and got a Wilson Combat Bulletproof extractor. I've also installed a 9lb recoil spring and 17lb mainspring from Dawson. Had zero malfunctions through a couple hundred rounds yesterday. I was shooting the reloads that I worked up for my G34. They run 135PF out of the G34, but I haven't chrono'd them in the RIA yet. Now I just need to get some RP9 mags to try out next.
  21. I run a Geissele two stage that I've played with the springs on a little to tune it to my liking. I shoot a lot of outlaw stuff with longer ranges, so I think that the two stage helps me out a little for that. I don't feel like it slows me down on the hoser stages at all though. I've considered replacing it with a single stage like a Timney, ELF, Hyperfire, etc... but I'm not sure I really need to, just looking to spend money. I have a POF 4.5lb single stage on one of my other rifles. It's nice for it's intended purpose, but if I was going to use that one for 3 Gun I'd like it a little lighter.
  22. I've heard quite a few people say that they felt the gen 1 1-6 wasn't daylight bright, but it's probably worth shooting an email to them anyways. Thanks.
