  1. Which video did you watch?
  2. I did not have good luck with my gen 2 STi mags. Kept having my rounds nose dive at full magazine capacity. Sticking with MBX.
  3. I finally have an update for those interested. I finally received my Trubor back from the barrel/caliber change at STi. It works great! I had it reblued as well. It feels like a brand new gun.
  4. Thanks all. I’ll give this a shot over the Labor Day weekend!
  5. ?I'm thinking I'll keep it a flat edge and just shorten it. Trying to keep it as simple as possible.
  6. Thanks! I have a dremel and so that should be no problem. Could I use regular sandpaper to remove the trigger material? And should I use a particular grain to smooth out the face of the trigger.
  7. I'm getting ready to tackle this job tomorrow. Would anyone have any tips they could share on fitting this trigger? Mainly I need some advice on how to cut and shape the trigger itself. What tools should I be using if I just would like to shorten the trigger?
  8. Thanks for the detailed explanation. Reloading has not been so intuitive but with the help of the forum and YouTube I think I’ve got it right.
  9. These are really close to what I'm running. AA7 10.3 Grain, 115 MG JHP - 170 pf AA7 9.3 Grain, 124 Hornady XTP JHP - 168 pf Lone Star Innovations 2011, kkm barrel, v4 holes
  10. I just wanted to make sure I was reloading correctly. This is my first year at it. Thanks for all of the helpful feedback.
  11. Thanks, I’ll read it. Conversely mine do not fail the plunk test and seem to gauge fine.
  12. I see. I'll check crimp shortly. Thanks, fellas.
  13. I've been reloading with a Hornady LNL using the Hornady size die and Lee FCD. My latest batch show a bulge near the top of the case (see the picture below). How do I resolve this? The bullets feed fine and fire without problem, but the cartridges look unusual. Loading 124 gr at 1.165" for 9 major.
  14. According to the new calculations, I lost about 2% across the board except for Fluffy’s Revenge 2 which I lost about 8%. Open division B class. I know it’s not a huge deal, but it’s disappointing.
  15. Paintball is so much fun. We lost all of our local courses, so that’s why I migrated to uspsa. If we still had those courses I’d still be slinging paint. Have fun with it.
  16. Thank you for the detailed response. Greatly appreciated!
  17. I kind of have a sentimental attachment to my gun to rebarrel. It might be more cost effective to sell it and then purchase a different gun in 9 major, but I just didn't want to let this one go. I just chalk it up to it being a "hobby", as opposed to a "business" that must cash flow.
  18. Okay, well I just got in touch with the STi custom shop. They quoted me $675 for the barrel, comp, and labor. It did not include the cost of a new extractor which probably will be necessary. There's a wait time involved but that is not a big deal since this is a backup gun.
  19. I'll try contacting STI again today. Couldn't get through to anyone on Monday. I called Brazos but I was told they don't do any gun smithing. (?) Maybe STi will be my best bet.
  20. I’ve been shooting both 9 and 38 sc and I have developed a preference for the 9. 38 sc does seem slightly softer, but for me the decision has much has to do with the time it takes to reload. Of course, the lower cost and benefit of not picking up brass are big factors, too. Plus 9mm is about the only cartridge I use except for .223. But mainly I don’t always have the time to reload and after spending all week in the office I may not want to reload. I’d rather relax. So, there are some weeks where I will just buy 9 major and use that in matches. 9 major from Black dot ammo out of Alabama has been good for my gun. And it isn’t cost prohibitive. So, not having to reload adds to my overall enjoyment of the sport, but if I need to do it I will do so to keep playing. I just like to shoot!
