I like loud noises. How far are your target engagements in 3 gun? Do you have any difficulty out to 200?

I've not had much experience in 3 gun, but we have a local club that will run PCSL 2 gun regularly. Distances do not exceed 200 yards, and most stages are 40 yards and in bay style courses. The rifle I use is an 18" JP-15 .223 with LMOS BCG, rifle gas, 3 port comp, and adjustable gasblock. It is great for long distance and is low recoil, but it feels very front heavy trying to work through bay style courses with the 15" MKIII handguard and heatsink. My question for people who are more experienced with .223 platforms - would it be a foreseeable disadvantage to swap to a shorter barrel and lighter handguard? Like a 14.5"? If a 14.5" platform had the same LMOS and adjustable gb, would the recoil be much different? What I would really like to do is have a 14.5" upper built with the JP MLOK handguard to match my JP5, but I wasn't sure if that would be a waste of money. Any input is appreciated.

I had PRK in 2017 and it fixed all of my eyesight issues. I don't have astigmatism and my vision is 20/20. It took a little while after the surgery to reach full 20/20. Absolutely worth it.

I had one and sold it. They're seemingly well made and are sturdy when integrated into the frame. It does have fore and aft adjustability that is held in place by a tiny countersunk allen screw. However, for me, despite adjusting the location of the thumb rest, it is placed too far forward for my grip. It looks to me that the only holster that would work would be a race style holster like the DAA flex or racer genre.

Yes, and that is my problem — flat arches. If I could have a shoe with arch support like Brooks and the tread of an inov-8, that would be a match made in heaven. I haven’t found it yet.

I decided against the Salomon Speed Cross lineup. To me, the heel is stacked a bit too high and for me it was hard to roll my feet from heel to toe. I have instead been using the Brooks Cascadia 17 this year. It has good arch support and decent traction. The sole is a little rigid, though. I bought a pair of Salomon Sense Ride that are similar to the Speed Cross but the heel stack is not as extreme. I plan to try those next. The only other pair I have considered are the Saucony Peregrine. As to the Inov-8 shoes, they're great with respect to traction but the only issue I'd note is that there is very little, if any, arch support with those shoes. That was a deal breaker for me on long match days.

Yeah. No one is running them in our area either but I noticed them being used at nationals by Max and a few others. That’s what piqued my curiosity. I don’t have one but I don’t see the advantage over a Glock stick mag with TTI extension, or an MBX steel mag.

Do you know if the magpul drum mags are compatible with the TF magwell?

What’s the drum mag that I’ve been seeing some of the pros use in their PCC? And why? I always thought those were unreliable.

I am looking for some factory ammo options for the JP5. So far I have tried the Federal Syntech 130 and 150. Like previously mentioned, the 150s seem to work well. Are there any other factory loaded 9mm worth testing? Has anybody ran the factory loaded Super-Vel 9mm 115 in the JP5?

OP here Just wanted to say thanks for all of the helpful comments and information. I swapped out the Lee FCD, installed my Dillon dies, and slightly increased my OAL. Everything is dialed in now and my rounds are case gauging fine, even the "A USA" and "Aguila" brass.

I'm using a Dillon sizing die. It appears to be set up correctly. I may swap out this Lee FCD based on what I'm reading here though. I have a U die in storage that I could use. My JP5 will feed anything it seems -- even these out of spec Aguila reloads

I shoot CZs so they generally don't want to tolerate more than 1.1
