  1. I'm going to try. The wife is not easy to convince sometimes. And I just finished an AR. So... I might have to sell it trade For one... And I hate parting with my guns.
  2. So we are all safe from memphis then... His gun isn't stock and he has it apart griniding and polishing so much that he has no time to practice.
  3. Run it bone stock original factory. I run a 10lbs recoil spring. Have since day 1 basically with 130pf loads. Apart from that, leave it for a few matches. Wherever you see bare metal, polish all that. I shot mine a ton the way it came from factory. After you do, then you will know what you want to change
  4. Yea... Exactly why I went with them. The only thing It won't work with are single stacks. I have to swap the poly spring or just run different pouches. I don't shoot single stack much so it doesn't matter anyways. Also, I think it may have been HK USP mag pouches that fit. I can not remember 100% though. That was like a year ago
  5. I tried a stack to blade techs at my local shop.... Ended up with ghosts... I'd have to go back to check which one. But I was pretty sure it was the CZs that fit. Maybe it was something else.
  6. Does safariland have pouches that work with CZ mags? If they do, get those
  7. Well I found them in stock on grab a gun... Seems like they are priced really well. http://grabagun.com/bergara-b14s452-6-5cr-bmp-chas.html
  8. The hooks would have to be huge for that. Plenty of people have tried to fit the BOLO to the stock hammers and have not done it correctly. The travel would have been a mile with the stock disco. Fitting to a stock hammer requires a proper amount of material removal.
  9. Have him put the original disconnector in to see if that's the issue.
  10. You are pretty brave with that pneumatic grinder... Those things eat quick
  11. I know what you're talking about. Been shooting 1911s forever. Most of that is how the sear engages the hammer. And the smoothness and the height of the hooks. You're overcoming friction either way. If it's smooth, it's not as palpable. I just call it grit or pre-travel, that's just always how I've refered to it as. The cheap calipers will get close. Is It depends how far out they go. You're probably talking about a few thousandths. Even the harbor freight ones should cover that. It would be interesting to see how much different the hooks are.
  12. I'll measure mine when I get home from work... If I remember.
  13. Who has the low down on this thing? Looks are growing on me, sounds like a great list of features, and the chassis looks quite useful, especially the stock. How are the barrels and actions though? As for rebarreling, is bergara the only option? Or are the threads on the receiver the same as a Remington Triggers from a R700 apparently can be used. Accepts R700 scope rings/bases Saw a couple online places that are accepting order for $1300 +/-. What do you guys here think? Anyone shot one yet? http://bergarausa.com/bergara_b-14_series_bmp_match_percision_rifle.php
  14. Got a micrometer? Measure the hooks and see. I polish mine... That might be the grit your feel.
  15. None of us would trust their QC on it anyways the current situation in Tanfo machining is beyond terrible. I've done 3 trigger jobs on Stock2s and all have been fine with the titan. But pretty much everything else has been totally inconsistent. Probably got lucky with the hammers. If you think yours is out of spec, do you have another to test fit? Honestly, about to get rid of mine and go to something else. The tolerances on any of these factory Tanfo parts are terrible.
  16. You need a new BOLO. Fitting a titan after a delta will cause The pretravel you are talking about.
  17. There really should be a dimple in the top of the slide so that the set screws have something to sink into. But knowing tanfoglio, they would machine a hole through the earths crust, throwing us off axis, and sending us spinning into the depths of deep space, just to try to machine 2 dimples for 2 tiny set screws
  18. I would rather have too right of a fit. Honestly, I was so pissed when I first saw it, I almost threw the gun in the trash at the range. The tanfo manufacturing tolerances are completely asinine. There is no logical explanation why a gun manufactured in the last 20 years should have tolerances this off, and I'm not talking about just the sight dovetail. Hammer spring pockets out of spec, trigger bars that look like they'd we machined with rocks using the flint snapping method, short chamber throats, front sight dovetails, sear cages WAY out of square, the list goes on. I used to machine for a guy who did DOD stuff. You would get a schem for a single part. Not even the whole apparatus. And it had to be within .0001 of an inch. This was, 15 years ago. And he didn't have the best equipment. He just knew exactly what he was doing. Tanfo need to handle some shit.
  19. Mine did it as well. I use vibratite on my Odin Works AR barrel nuts, it's a 2 piece but system. The receiver threads get aeroshell, the nut/nut (get your minds out of the gutter) gets vibratite. An AR barrel gets WAY hotter than our tanfos. I beat on my ARs like they owe me money. To that end, I took some extra vibratite and filled the screw hole, and the dovetail. Slid the sight on, with the screw out. Let set for half an hour, doesn't even need set screw, tightened set screw anyways. Try that and see if it helps you. Vibratite cures almost like a rubber. So it's not a thread locker. Its more like, putting a silicon or something in there.
  20. I would class higher staying at home and playing with my dick. Seriously... Today was not my best day. But it was fun. And these targets don't shoot back
