  1. Hey, Kory. I was wondering where you have been. Everyone at the steel match here moves up a place when you don't show... Hoping "soon" actually means soon for you! Take care, D
  2. Hey, buddy. Don't get cheap now...buy quality once, cry once. Search this forum for MEOPTA 1-4 X 22 Nice shooting with you today. See you on Thursday afternoon. D
  3. Nice set up Ray. I see Kory made a cameo appearance. Talk about some cold gusts of wind that day...my back is still sore from all of the low ports. Good work.
  4. Hey, Lance. 1. Shred mentioned a conversion kit (Ceiner type?) that if it works, would probably be the best for you as you are using the same rifle, just a different different bolt/carrier/mags. Another alternative may be one of those CZ .22lr uppers. From what I have seen, they seem to run well. You might see if someone local has one to try out. 2. Practice transitions in dry-fire using miniature targets in your house. 3. IMHO, forget the stock 10-22 unless set-up like the one above. 4. You could always come back out here to our range and practice until your fingers bleed... Hasta la vista amigo.
  5. Not too far from the Palm Springs, CA area, count me in.
  6. I was in Cambodia for several weeks last November. That location appears to be the Khmer army range just outside Phnom Penh. $1 USD per round for an AK, I forgot what they wanted for an RPG. (A lot, like $175 or so...) I was told in Siem Reap that they used to offer you water buffaloes to shoot at for a bit more $$$ There is also a similar range in Viet Nam outside Sai Gon at the Cu Chi tunnels (Cong World.) Same set up, choose from AKs, M-16s, M-60s, Sov 12.7mm, and a host of other cool stuff. When I was there the only things that ran, or that they had ammo for, were ancient M-2 carbines...at $1.00 USD per round, $30 round minimum. The targets were red colored water filled jugs...kinda weird. Cool 'snack bar right there and it was fun to watch all the tourists blast away. Cool video, thanks for the link
  7. The black finish is the Tripp polymer 'Cobra Coat.' Here is a link...Cobra Coat
  8. I sent an STI to Tripp Research for hard chrome on the 23rd. California to Texas. Received the pistol today, the 28th. Wow. That was fast. Flawless job. I am impressed!
  9. Just about ready to send my STI limited pistol to Tripp for hard chroming. I was thinking of having just the frame hard chromed and try the Cobra Coat in matte black for the top end. Can anyone provide feedback on the Cobra Coat finish? Thanks!
  10. Looks like fun to me! Nice job. What program did you use to design the stages?
  11. Last week a buddy in Florida was planning a trip out here in California. He wanted to bring hi-cap mags for his SP-01. I had him call the CA DOJ since I was not sure... He actually spoke with someone there on the telephone who told him NO hi-caps can be brought in...period.
  12. Try Lowes, Home Depot or the equivalent. I have purchased similar pins there. They are usually in the aisle with the bins of drawers for nuts, bolts, etc. with pictures on the face of the drawer.
  13. dbolden, Not sure if I understand your post correctly, is the problem you are having the group size? If that is the case, have you tried a diferent load? While I am no expert on Berettas, I have a couple of 92FS's. I found that for some reason they shot the tightest groups with the 124 gr FMJ mil spec equivalent rounds, and were all over the place with handloads and even the 115 gr. cheapo store bought rounds. Does not really make sense to me why they like the hot 124's and nothing else, but that is the case with the two I have...YMMV
  14. Cool video! What a refreshing change to see the media portray handgun shooting as a fun and challenging activity. Nice job.
  15. Thanks for the responses. Looks like the wallet is going to take another beating...
  16. Yes. I asked Benny when he had one of my Benellis in his shop recently. No luck. I will try the link you mentioned. Thanks!
  17. Yes, I agree. I have yet to see a used one for sale. I am having a hard time finding a place to order a new one...
  18. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I can purchase a 12 ga. 21" or 24" vent rib Benelli barrel to fit an M1 Super 90? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
