  1. I used to have brass that would do that until I adjusted my sizing die to cam over, that tip was from another member here thank you!! now I have no chambering issues, each round goes plop in the case gauge and the jam ups disappeared.
  2. ok thank you is over caming the press bad for it?
  3. I got the guage and by just over caming it they all work perfect now, ran about 300 rounds with no issues. other than I'm running out of primers
  4. what keeps the auto drive from not destroying everything if something gets jammed ?
  5. I didn't know that was possible learn something new everyday.
  6. one shot is the best I have found the dillion lube is terrible never buy that again. it smells toxic
  7. I have a 1050 for .223 and when I sell my 650 I'm going to buy another press, there still are some 1050 out there and not sure if I should get another one or get the 1100, also not sure what the upgrades are or if others are happy with them? any suggestions? Thanks Ray
  8. I started with 5.7 and it works great up to 6.0 and very happy with it aa5 is good powder.
  9. I found some of that as well and it loads fine. the jag brass is the junk that gives me fits
  10. I have the same issue and see light primer strikes, never thought of seating them deeper my g48 is stock.
  11. probably been asked before but does running major loads hurt the gun? I have some hotter loads I load from time to time that seems like they are pushing it, can't imagine going to some of ranges. also, what is the point of going there in the first place?
  12. I agree after I bought the super 1050 my 650 did feel like a cheap toy, but it does reload 9mm really well, I have considered selling it and getting another 1050 or 1100. load 9 mm on it or maybe keep the 650 and load my 357 sig. just need to catch me in the right week, I guess.
  13. ok the cam over did the trick now they are going into the case gauge with a plop Thank you very much!! I'm assuming if you give them too much cam they will go below the gauge limits? I turned the die down until it touched the shell plate then turned it two flats. Next dumb question, if I took the decapping pin out of the fl sizing die could I run the loaded ammo back thru it or is that a bad idea?
  14. how can I cam over when the reloading handle bottoms out ? I starting to think all this extra work for plinking isn't worth the effort.
  15. I have been loading .223 on my 1050 shooting them thru a colt 6920 no issues, I recently built an all Aero AR15 and it doesn't like the reloads at all but will shoot factory ammo. I went out and bought a case gauge probably should have done that from the start. The factory ammo drops right in the gauge no problem, most of the reloads go in just fine but not as easy as the factory, some you have to push down and seem too tight. the ones that are tight I pulled the bullets checked the case length and they are under the 1.760 max dimension I put them back in the case gauge after running them thru the resizing die again same problem they won't go down without some effort. The resizing die is bottom out on the shell plate, so I don't know what to do ?? I called dillion and I'm so far down the list it will take months to get a reply.
  16. I have 2 reloaders a 1050 and 650 both with bullet feeders I built myself on cnc, the 1050 is set up for 223 and the 650 for 9 and I have a .357 sig complete change over. but I rarely shoot the .357 as it's just not as comfortable as it used to be and the 223 just turned into an ar15 blaster ammo mag dump. so, I'm thinking of just going with the 9mm and getting rid of the rest, just wondering if I should keep the 1050 and load 9 on it or keep the 650. not sure what the advantage would be with the 1050 over the 650.
  17. sell me your 650 and go buy the 750 you need it :) I have a 1050 for my 5.56 and a 650 for my 9 mm I need your 650 for .45acp
  18. Thanks for your reply's, lots of useful information I had no idea about. going to look at all these ideas and see if I can get this thing working correctly.
  19. I bought it brand new from dillion. about 1.5 years ago haven't loaded on it in 6 months or more remembering these same issues. got pretty frustrating and walked away from it .
  20. Problem's I'm having either a decaped primer hang in the case causing a live primer to be smashed in with it, or no primer at all dumping powder all along the shell plate until I realize what's going on., very frustrating. all that powder working it's way under the shell plate uggg!! I use my air compressor to try and blow it out but it's only a matter of time I will have to tear it apart. surprised that the primers haven't gone off. I hate the fact that I have to watch every primer dump into the cup or check to make sure one isn't half stuck. I highly doubt I have gone thru 100 rounds without something going wrong. when I bought this thing I had no idea I was going to have to prep all these cases before I could reload them, I expected to trim them to length after several firings but From what I have read and noticing that dillion makes a case prep machine, it looks like that it the only way to insure not having all these issues. I also have a 650 loading 9 mm and it's been much easier to deal with , I loaded 500 tonight on it and never had an issue.
