  1. For me CBC has always loaded a a lot longer than target OAL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Obviously FTF would be the best but, I would hold members to a higher standard than FB sellers and am more trusting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The Best Way is FTF, BUT, still has some potential danger ...Last time I sold a gun FTF, the buyer pulled out a loaded .45 from his waistband .... to SHOW me his prize .45. I wasn't sure for a second there where that was all going .... I think he should he told you before hand...I would have wondered what kind of response he would have gotten doing that in a gun store. 4. Just wanting to start a little discussion here. What head stamps do you hate running into? Do you scrap or use them for lost brass matches? My number one pain the butt brass has always been CBC in 9mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Trust me on this an try it.. Instead of using dawn dish soap, substitute it for a car wash and wax (I have used Meguiars Ultimate) most likely you have the car wash in your garage. My recipe using the FA wet tumbler is 1 tablespoon of the car wash and wax 1/4 Teaspoon of Lemishine I fill with hot water and rinse really good with cold. I strain the water really good and toss it on a beach towel and fold the corners into the middle and shake any excess water. I dry overnight because I'm not in a big hurry but if I strain really well I could ALMOST load them immediately. 6 months to this day and the brass has no tarnishing or water marks. 8. Same thoughts. Would have got a 1050 but a hell of a lot of money for caliber conversion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Just curious, how do you fellas usually sale through the forums? What do you do in terms to CYA? How do you take payment? I hate to be paranoid but, there is so many dishonest people in this world. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Are you sorting by headstamp or all mixed brass? I've gotten a good bit of variance too 0.010-0.015 on mixed but most were under 0.005 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I've seen a lot of people using CZs who have to go under 1.1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. How much crimp is being applied? That would also keep a cartridge from case gauging. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I assumed the same thing go to coated lead from Xtreme. Never thought about plunk test to make sure just loaded them up and headed to the range. Loaded one in the chamber and slide closed fine but went to cool guy press check the gun I couldn't pull the slide back. The projectile has jammed in the lands so hard when I finally got the slide to the rear the projectile separated from the case and stuck in the barrel as if were a squib. I had to pull 200 loaded catridges because I thought the diameter was too big. All I had to do was seat them deeper, luckily I didn't try to fire that first one as it could have been a bad day. Lesson learned Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I agree. I've had my water almost come out black Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Looking for an update on how the RIA is doing to date. Would you still have taken this route ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. What is the general consensus on these? For the people that own an STI how does it stack up? Coming from a Glock the 1911/2011 platform is new to me. Was wondering if I could save $1000 on the STI by going with this. Looking for someone's honest opinion on how accurate it is. From my understand the ejector is the weak point. I see that Hayes custom guns offers a "reliability package". I just want something that will shoot and not leave me disappointed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I am 23 year old college student from Birmingham, AL. I got my first handgun when I turned 21. It was a XDM 3.8 in 9mm and horse trader for a Glock 30sf. Traded a few guns here and there and got into a Glock 34 MOS to try out competition. Started off with Steel Challenge (non sanctioned) and have been going from there. I haven't shot many matches due to school and have competed in a couple of USPSA matches. I shoot my matches at the CMP in Talladega, AL. Ever since I got my first handgun I have gotten the inch. I'm looking now for a 2011 in 40 S&W for limited major. My plans when I get out of school and into a good job will be to shoot open class. I got into reloading last year and have been at it ever since. Started losing 9mm and .223 on a rock Chucker then moved onto a Lee turret, then to a XL650 and love it. I currently load 9mm, .223, 45acp, 6.5 Creedmoor, and have brass saved up for .308 and 10mm down the road. I love the knowledge this forum has to offer. My goal one day will be to build a 1911/2011 myself. Of course it won't be as nice as some of the other builders but I like a challenge and like to tinker. I look to soak up as much information as possible. Thank you for the forum and thanks Brian Eno as I love the 650! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Has anyone had an issue with the screw stripping out? First off I never torqued it down and never adjusted to have heavy tension on it, only barely snug to keep the magazine from flopping around. I noticed my tension knob came out at a match. Luckily it didn't take fall out during a stage. I tried reinserting and threading the nut back in and it screws down but a slight pull on the screw pops it out. Should I try and contact them for a replacement or just JB weld both ends and let it thread itself or set the screw in and JB weld around it. What's your thoughts? Anyone else experience this? What's your preferred mag pouch besides straight up kydex that doesn't cant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Haha, nah man I'm not hurting that bad for a gun. I can always be patient and get something in a year or so built myself. Just looking for something right now to hold me over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Only thing is I have to come up with the money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Yeah Pat is a good guy. He let me shoot the Eagle and it shot like a 9mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
