    Short funny jokes

What's the difference between a hippo and a zippo? One is really heavy, and the other is a little lighter. Before your criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.
  2. PCC-Heavy Metal!! That's the division I want to play in! Rock on!!!
  3. This story has a bit more info, plus interviews. http://www.cfjctoday.com/article/575231/man-dies-after-kamloops-shooting-competition-accident Sad day for sure.
  4. I totally understand, you don't have anything that proves your claim. No worries
  5. So, you don't have a quote or reference for it? Got it.
  6. Did they really say this? I'm not buying it.
  7. When I clean up spills and such, I put all the spilled powder into one container. When I have enough, I take it to the barbecue on a piece of paper and watch it burn
  8. Sig max is a good choice. It's already got most everything needed. There is a 45 RO for sale on the site that looks beautiful, and is all setup for competition too.
  9. Yep, that is correct. The range given in VV's website is 4.9-5.2, so a very small range to begin with.
  10. I use 5.2 grains, ~790, 1.25 coal. approximately 181 PF. this is with an extreme RN plated bullet.
  11. I run mine 230 @ ~790. the pistol I developed this for had some stovepipes with anything lower than 5.2gr vv 320.
  12. I'm conflicted. I will shoot some matches in SS (I also shoot limited), but I have a 45 sig max, and a 9mm DW PM9. I love shooting both of them!
  13. That's a great point! I think you're right, especially with so much support from firearms companies.
  14. I think that CO is a step for people with vision issues and also for people who want open without a lot of cost. I don't think it's taking shooters away from limited because of ammo or fun factors. 40 is actually very nearly as cheap as 9. CO is minor scoring only, so cost doesn't enter into the equation for usage IMHO.
  15. The tripps have a plastic or metal base pad depending on what you choose. In 45, you would have to be in lim 10 to use the 10 rounders I believe. I could be incorrect on that though. 40 and 9 are short enough to use 10 round mags in ss. https://www.trippresearch.com/store/index.html
  16. I think most manufacturers list the powder density. Here's a few from AA/Ramshot. Aa2 ulk Density(grams/cc) +/-5.5% 0.635 VMD(cc/grams) 1.575 Bulk Density(grains/cc) +/-5.5% 9.800 VMD(cc/grains) 0.102 From <http://www.accuratepowder.com/products/handgun/> Bulk Density(grams/cc) +/-3.6% 0.800 VMD(cc/grams) 1.250 Bulk Density(grains/cc) +/-3.6% 12.346 VMD(cc/grains) 0.081 From <http://www.ramshot.com/products/handgun/?view=7&product=Silhouette> Bulk Density(grams/cc) +/-3.6% 0.975 VMD(cc/grams) 1.026 Bulk Density(grains/cc) +/-3.6% 15.046 VMD(cc/grains) 0.066 From <http://www.ramshot.com/products/handgun/?view=8&product=TrueBlue> I just found this: http://www.tacticoolproducts.com/powder.pdf It lists titegroup as 10 Hodgdon Titegroup .0848 11.799 Uniform ignition, low charge wt, clean pistol powder Hodgdon does not appear to provide this data on their website. Also, slow powders will have a higher charge load than fast powders.
  17. Case fill is a great point. Titegroup really doesn't fill the case at all. Powders like True Blue (and my favorite for 9,silhouette) make a double charge VERY noticeable.
  18. That's great info v1911! Thanks for posting it!
  19. We have a thriving uspsa community in the Puget sound, but even then, it's still very difficult to get people to help with setup.
