Agreed. I usually go every Friday but it has been raining on Fridays for weeks on end.

Nice. I ordered a Limcat Tuesday. Will be done and in my hands in less than 16 weeks.

Get one that works reliably you will get used to the timing of it. All of them work I have tried all 3 lengths personally prefer the mid length
This! Everyone always told me to shoot an open gun at least 5k rounds and then decide what you think you prefer and like. It takes a bit to get used to the specific gun as far as impulse and cycle speed etc. Once you are in tune with that it’s a beautiful thing.

I have only tried the brass magwell on plastic grip gun and really liked it. That must be a great combination.
-
Did you already have a metal grip on your Phantera before you added the brass magwell? I have an extra new Limcat Brass magwell that I would like to use.

I don't think this is in the right area. Did you mean to post it in the Tanfo section?

Eric … have you experienced any problem with the sun shinning on the lens since removing the cover ?
Great question.

I have made a choice and will update as the build progresses.

Excellent info. I do love the weight and balance of Hbar and metal grip. My limited guns weigh a ton and shoot so nicely.
-
The StormCat has a newly designed comp as well and I forgot to mention that.

My history so far with Limcat Open gun..
First was a Phantera that was Hbar with regular comp and plastic grip. It shot extremely flat and soft.
Second was a Phantera with standard barrel that was accurailed and had regular comp. It shot very well but not as nice as the first.
Third was a Beastcat with turbo comp and it was entirely different. It was not as “flat” but was super fast to cycle and balanced well.
I have shot open guns enough rounds now that I want fast to cycle and return to zero over chasing the flat and soft dream.
Julian guided me very well on my limited gun search and I ended up with Hbar 5.5” Perfect Sight with metal grip and it shoots like a 9mm! Not sure how much that type carries over to open gun.
I will call Julian today and pick his brain.

New Limcat 9mm major build is underway but I need to make some decisions on the upper soon.
What is your preferred set up and why?
1) Standard barrel with regular comp
2) Standard barrel with turbo comp
3) Hbar barrel with standard comp
4) Hbar barrel with turbo comp
5) Hybrid barrel with turbo comp

Max Leograndis said on facebook last night that there's a new Holosun--the 512c--coming out soon. Supposedly weatherproof and purged.
Interesting. Hopefully it's not larger or heavier and the footprint/mounting is still the same!

I am liking what I am hearing here. Just need my new Limcat mount!
-
It’s a little lighter than aluminum slide ride.

It’s not on the website yet. They’re making them in small batches. You can call and see if they have any. Last week they were out of stock.

Looks great. Mine shipped yesterday. I’m using the Limcat Mount as it sits so low and has blast shield

I'm going to a larger window, nothing against the rts2. Not a huge fan of the battery life, but it's just personal preference for me.
Are you trying the 510C?

You know dry racking is not as fun
-
Ha! It was a compliment. I meant you rack a round when you are done with every stage. I’m in agreement with you completely on how the 9mm major round runs. The PD 124g JHP may have something to do with it too. Plus all the other things you mentioned. Roll sizing is important for sure.

I cant think of the last time I racked a round out of my open guns in 9 major. They are all runners. Maybes its Venom Custom. Maybe its me roll sizing brass. Maybe its case gauging. Maybes its The PD 124 Projectile. Maybe its regular gun maintenance.
Now I will probably rack a round at my next match for saying the above.
Oh you will. But it will be at the end of a stage after you’ve just owned it.
I do all the things you mentioned and my gun runs perfectly.

I would say an average of $100 for 140 and $150 for 170. Last week I sold (3) 140 and (1) 170 for $400 which was easily on the low side.
Cleaning my compensator.

I have been using Extant Labs Break Contact cleaner with great success. It even softened up Blue Bullet crud off of my GMR15 comp. Soak and scrub/poke off.
