  1. I received my upper from @eerw on Saturday and it is a work of art! Cannot wait to shoot this thing. Love the extra weight and the balance. Transitions fast due to the 75 shadow frame. Will try and get some good pics posted later.

I picked up a Bul armory Sas ii ur. So far it runs great. Ran it at the Rowan uspsa match today.

Excellent! I need to get back there. Great match.

Thinking of dipping my toe and shooting open. What do I look for I ann open gun? What do I avoid? Any makers to avoid? Anything to keep in mind when loading for major? Would be looking to do 9mm.

Did you end up getting anything? Just saw you are local to me. If you need any help, let me know!

  4. I have several V1 and one V2 and like them. Battery life is not amazing but the crispness of the dot and glass clarity is very good. The new shorter version is excellent for fitment on RTS2 cuts and plates.

I was talking about the two screws securing it to the scope mount.  It's all good, I downloaded the manual from C-More and it answered all my questions.  Thanks!

Yep, just those two screws. I do the same and have over 50 manuals downloaded on my phone. :)

While I'm not the maker; just someone doing some beta testing.

It would be easy to make it drop in or very minimal filing to fit.

Problem is the design of the factory slide stop isn't great to begin with.

It rotates forward.  Just take the oem one and insert it in the frame and rotate counterclockwise.

I spoken to the maker and I told him that I'd prefer a thumbrest that doesn't inadvertently lock the slide back if too much forward pressure is applied while shooting if even it mean losing the ability to manually lock then slide or on empty mag.

I got the same email request to be a tester. Too much risk for me and the cost seemed steep to have to do some much work on my end as I am no gunsmith. I think he will get it right and that’s a big thanks to people like you for helping him :)

Not sure how much I can say, but there is one coming down the pipe.

    I been testing one out.

Question for those that are interested:

Will you be interested if it disable the slide lock?  Personally for me i don't use the slide lock at all on my 2011 or CZ czechmate/tso(i have always removed the slide release  and used the pins).  The way i look at it is it's a race gun playing gun games where i don't shoot to empty anyways

Second question:  are you willing to fit the thumbrest and be willing to file down the thumb rest to have gun be able activate the slide lock?

Most aftermarket ones disable the slide lock feature so that’s no biggie. I would prefer a drop in and I think most would agree but I could be wrong.

And you can get it in red for the gucci factor!     Just wondering if there was any reason you went with shrink wrap vs rubber?    Seems like the rubber would stay softer (vs how shrink wrap gets hard after applying heat to it).

    Wouldn’t rubber add more diameter?

No further love for this from anyone?    I am swayed by everyone raving over the Everglades, but that multi-screw positional adjustment mechanism looks like a gigantic pain.   On the face of it the BSG looks really and a it's lot less expensive than the Everglades.

The Everglades is super easy to set up and maintain. Do not fear! You will love it. Black Scorpion isn’t even close. And yes, I tried one.

I want slightly lighter springs and a *thumb rest [generic]*. do these exist yet?

Springs are easy. Get a guide rod that takes 1911 springs and go at it. Thumb rest is a hard no unless you drill and tap the frame.

Congratulations, you finally got your post count up to 50!🤣

Yeah. I got the popcorn ready. Let’s see what will be for sale!

Well, I ended up buying a new SPS Vista Long in .38. Got a sweet deal on it and could not justify buying used for that amount.

It came in .38 so I will deal with that as it is. As I will maybe shoot 4 or 5 matches a year outside the club it is okay brass wise.

Most what I read is that these guns run pretty okay and parts are easy to get here in Europe.

Any advice on a starting load in 3N38 or 3N37 for .38 with coal and crimp dia?

I have experience with those. Well it was a .40 limited gun and a shorty 9mm Major Vista. They are ok after you change all of the MIM parts out and do a trigger job.  The mags are solid. Pretty sure they are proprietary but you should be able to get some over there and MBX sells some for them too. Grips are awful but they sell a metal grip for them now and it’s nice. All in all a good move on your part. Congrats

I want to see if an open gun is the the thing for me. (I'm afraid it might be, love speed,  tinkering and nice stuff🤪)For that reason I want to keep the initial purchase between 2 and 3K€ for the gun and not go all out on it at once.

You can get "something" at that price but it may be wore out or very old tech. Keep looking. Hoping something pops up.
