The flex is easily one of the worst holsters ive tried. Veyr soft plastic mawrs on low volume # of draws. Good luck trying to fit it to a new grip after minor use.

Sadly, I agree. For me the Everglades has always worked for limited and open.

Sending my Dwx in to CZC for their top level trigger job and optics cut

anyone able to tell me grips and Magwells that work with the factory basepads?

You will love the full action trigger job. I’m using Patriot Defense brass palm swell grips and they work great with the factory base pads.

Exactly, but there doesn’t seem to be anyone motivated to bringing one to market anytime soon.

Agreed. But I think the false start from the original DWX release burned some folks and made some grouchy. Parts will come at some point.

Thumb rest will be available shortly. My buddy is just finishing the prototype with my DWX. I don’t have the pictures with me but if you look back a few pages there is one and I think his website is listed.

    This sounds promising

2.5lbs is just about ideal for my taste.  I hate to make a permanent cut in the slide and lose the iron sights.  I'm wondering if there will be an optic ready version coming out.

Posvar, I think that you're right, my Parrot hasn't gotten any looser over the years.

I read somewhere on social media that a DWX owner was able to get another slide and had it cut so he could have both worlds. It may be worth looking into.

Good info, thanks.  Do you know if that play increases as time goes on?  I'm into 1911's and do all my own trigger work.  The combo of CZ and 1911 might make for a nice Limited Optics gun.  I talked to Stuart at CZ about some sort of dove tail mount for a red dot, didn't seem like there is one available.

I would think that if it increases at all it will be minimal.

And my $1600 Shadow 2 Orange has zero play, not sure how this applies to my question.  I was asking to see if this is normal or if this is a bad example.

Mine has some play as others have described. A little but not much at all. But the barrel lock up is super tight and I will stand with my previous statement that this is the most accurate pistol I have ever owned.

Just placed my order for mag extensions (Henning), springs (Grams) and grips & magwell (Lok). Seriously considering the CZ Custom full action trigger job down the line. My DWX is gonna be a nice LO blaster soon!

The CZC full action trigger job transforms this into an amazing piece. Do it!

  9. I would put my DWX up against any gun I’ve owned (if you know me then you know all I have owned over the years) regarding shoot-ability and accuracy. The CZC full action trigger job makes it pretty amazing. No it’s not fit like an SV or Venom but doesn’t cost anything near those and that is the exact reason I got it. Don’t care about that anymore. The DWX shoots better than my A01 guns by the way. Hard to beat a crisp single action trigger.

Dang it sounds like there are a lot of good options out there

thank you both @ColoradoNick and @Posvar!

now I’m even less confident on what I want - the EGW kit sounds awesome. Money really isn’t a big problem, and I was going to send the slide out to be milled to CZC anyway…

Hmmm tough decision I have to research more

You can’t go wrong with the EGW kit…..but…..if you are sending it to CZC talk to Stuart about doing a full action trigger job on it. It’s a lot of work and a great value! Much more than just a trigger job. Do it!

The EGW ignition kit for $130 brought my trigger to just over 2lb. You can youtube the install. I paid a buddy $100 to do it locally but it doesnt look difficult

The EGW kit is a good value.

Follow up! What 2011’s are you comparing it to? And what’s the difference relative to the stock trigger? Trying to approximate how worth it the work is haha

I have owned all of the top brands of 2011 guns. Builders have their own specific style of what they think a trigger job feels like but they are all very good. If you have handled and played with a top builders trigger you will understand. The stock DWX trigger is good but far from great. After the CZC action trigger job it is superb. Crispness, trigger weight, break, reset, all superb.

I’ll shoot him an email. I have them making me a custom A01-SD haha. Spent a little more than buying it from the market but I think it’ll be worth it. Thank you for your thoughts!

Very nice build! Stuart is great to work with.

Has anyone here gotten a trigger job from czcustom for their DWX? If so, can you tell me which option you went with? How do you like it?

I had them do the full action trigger job on mine. Trigger is superb. Rivals any trigger I have on my 2011 guns. It will only get better with time and with rounds down the pipe.

Haha you either huh? I had a set ad well and immediately went back to my thin lok grips. Who knew it took money to figure out what works best 😂

Did you try the low swell or high swell? They both feel pretty different.

send a note to mjcustoms.net. he is making/working on takedown thumbshelves

    for the DWX with Drell

I’ll send an email. It doesn’t feel like it’s needed with this one but i  so used to them on my other CZ/A01 guns.
