Once I got the trigger down to around 3# I really like the way the gun shoots. At 35 feet 10 rnds in 2.5in center. JD
I agree. I’m actually quite surprised by the accuracy of this thing.

I would put my DWX up against any gun I’ve owned (if you know me then you know all I have owned over the years) regarding shoot-ability and accuracy. The CZC full action trigger job makes it pretty amazing. No it’s not fit like an SV or Venom but doesn’t cost anything near those and that is the exact reason I got it. Don’t care about that anymore. The DWX shoots better than my A01 guns by the way. Hard to beat a crisp single action trigger.

Dang it sounds like there are a lot of good options out there
thank you both @ColoradoNick and @Posvar!
now I’m even less confident on what I want - the EGW kit sounds awesome. Money really isn’t a big problem, and I was going to send the slide out to be milled to CZC anyway…
Hmmm tough decision I have to research more
You can’t go wrong with the EGW kit…..but…..if you are sending it to CZC talk to Stuart about doing a full action trigger job on it. It’s a lot of work and a great value! Much more than just a trigger job. Do it!

The EGW ignition kit for $130 brought my trigger to just over 2lb. You can youtube the install. I paid a buddy $100 to do it locally but it doesnt look difficult
The EGW kit is a good value.

Follow up! What 2011’s are you comparing it to? And what’s the difference relative to the stock trigger? Trying to approximate how worth it the work is haha
I have owned all of the top brands of 2011 guns. Builders have their own specific style of what they think a trigger job feels like but they are all very good. If you have handled and played with a top builders trigger you will understand. The stock DWX trigger is good but far from great. After the CZC action trigger job it is superb. Crispness, trigger weight, break, reset, all superb.

I’ll shoot him an email. I have them making me a custom A01-SD haha. Spent a little more than buying it from the market but I think it’ll be worth it. Thank you for your thoughts!
Very nice build! Stuart is great to work with.

Would you say it’s worth it?
Absolutely. Once Stuart explained all that was included it is a great value in my opinion.

Has anyone here gotten a trigger job from czcustom for their DWX? If so, can you tell me which option you went with? How do you like it?
I had them do the full action trigger job on mine. Trigger is superb. Rivals any trigger I have on my 2011 guns. It will only get better with time and with rounds down the pipe.

Haha you either huh? I had a set ad well and immediately went back to my thin lok grips. Who knew it took money to figure out what works best
Did you try the low swell or high swell? They both feel pretty different.

send a note to mjcustoms.net. he is making/working on takedown thumbshelves
for the DWX with Drell
I’ll send an email. It doesn’t feel like it’s needed with this one but i so used to them on my other CZ/A01 guns.

I am really enjoying the full size DWX and am about to get the compact or at least planning on it. Have an extra EPS carry ready to go. Still enjoying yours?

Really? That’s high praise because the DWX is now my favorite pistol and I have some heavy hitters (Shadow Target II - *not* the Shadow II, P226 X6 PPC, 1911 Gold Cup National Match)
I splurged a lot and got an A01-SD, in hard chrome, OR, custom from CZC. I also asked them for an extra set of wear parts so that I can keep the gun running forever and bought an extra threaded barrel . I cannot wait for it to finally ship
You will love it! Given the nature of the single action non hinged trigger on the DWX I shoot it more accurately than the A01. The DWX has been the most accurate non custom pistol I have owned.

Which version are you getting? They are superb. Better made than the DWX with a more custom feel/fit. They shoot extremely well. Can’t go wrong with an A01.
-
With some dry fire I like it without the magwell. Feels just like my A01 CO gun.

Fun one on Sunday: Mid stage, had my firing pin stop (FPS) fall out and firing pin fly out of the gun. I was able to find both parts and they look fine. During reassembly noticed there is a lot of clearance between the FPS and the slide. Guessing this doesn't need to be a snug fit since the pin itself is keeping the FPS in place.
These components are not modified, but the gun does have an AGW ignition kit and optics cut. Probably have ~1500 round count on the gun.
Anyone else experience something similar in the past?
Wow. That sounds crazy.

Heavier than I expected. Does the barrel lie lower in the frame vs a 2011?
Not that I can tell.

What grips are those? Patriot Defense for the 75? Holes line up perfect to fit 1911 screws?
Yes and yes

Got my hopes up on the compact rail version but sounds like it won’t be available for some time. Imagine that. Lol

Hows the shadow 2 style mag release feel in comparison to the oem one?
I much prefer it. Use the same one on my A01 as well.

The CZC full action trigger job transforms this into an amazing piece. Do it!
