I run them on my open shotguns and offset on my rifles. They can take a beating and hold up way better than some others I've had.

    Nice!

  2. My buddy came over yesterday and I got to see and hold his TS2. First time seeing the new version. Pretty fantastic! He is getting Scott to cut it for LO. It will be a beast. Fit and finish was great the checkering was very good. I liked it and am sure it will be a very good LO host.

Long term follow up -- a Steelmaster was recently added to the collection, so here is a comparison photo. Note shorter comp and 4.15" lightened slide in comparison to the Competitor, as well as blast deflector on the C-More mount (definitely needs it), and fly cut serrations the the later STIs came with (I have a soft spot for the looks of that design).

These look great. Love those cuts. The Apeiro has them too.

Hahaha...was wondering the same thing.  I initially thought it would come in at a lower price point than the Checkmate but sounds like you think this will be their higher priced offering?

Also, this would have to feature a SA trigger right? Isn't the standard A01 a DA/SA?

    Either way, absolutely beautiful gun.

Yes SA for sure for the open gun. The pic I posted is SA.

I have a smaller Holosun 507k direct milled on my SP01, pics below. It hangs off just slightly. I had the optic cut done by Wager Machine. The same "K" footprint would work with the fully enclosed EPS & EPS Carry. The dimensions of the EPS Carry are 1.62"×1.07"×0.95" & EPS  are 1.62"×1.19"×0.99". They are slightly wider than the 507K at 1.6"x0.98"x0.95"

The 509T (different footprint) dimensions are 1.6"×1.16"×1.13" so you can imagine slightly more overhang and compare these numbers with the other optics you were interested in.

    Looks great! Helpful info.

Yeah, I saw it. I sent Stuart a message on how much. He didn't reply😪.

If you look at how the A01 limited has nearly doubled in the last two or three years…maybe we don’t want to know the price of the open A01. It sure looks cool though and they make great stuff.

  7. Did anyone else see the pictures of the 9mm major A01 open build soon to be released? I have always thought that platform would make a great major blaster. Extended shielded safeties, magwell, single action trigger, aggressive grips, square trigger guard, etc. Not sure there is a viable 170mm magazine option yet. The barrel and comp are all one piece I believe. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. With current costs it will easily be 5K+ I am guessing.

Played around with my P10F a decent amount recently.

I was running Henning extensions with MBX guts and CSRG guts. I was getting nosedives quite frequently. I talked to CSRG and he said it's because of how the P10 feed ramp design is and how the P10 magazine is a little wider than the CZ75 magazine, which both gut sets functioned flawlessly in.

I think it's pretty difficult to get reliable 24+1 or 23+1 in these mags without tuning. I can probably squish the bodies and tune them like I did to my previous Czechmate mags, but just too lazy to try to deal with it right now and will just keep shooting my Shadow 2.

There is a risk vs reward when we start pushing the limits. I am just going with 23+1 mags.

If you have any of the full size 75 guns or even a SP01 you can get a Bullshadow upper and put it on the frame. I would call CZ Custom first to make sure it doesn't need any machining to fit the frame. I picked up a used Bullshadow upper and have had it on a 75b SA and a SP01 frame and only had to lightly sand where the recoil system goes into for it to work in the SP01 frame. It now resides on my 97b frame and I love shooting it.

    Great advice. Thanks

  10. Thanks! It’s great to hear from you. That is helpful info. I’m in no place to get anything now but I think a Bullshadow variant is my next nice toy purchase. Text me some pics of yours if you get a chance. Would love to see it.

  11. Has anyone had the opportunity to feel and shoot both of these? I’m looking for a comparison for these exact guns as I’ve handled plenty of the other options. Just curious as to how they may feel when compared to each other as they are both crafted by CZ Custom. Both have short dust covers, great triggers, bull barrels, etc. I’ve only owned the LD versions of the A01 and they were front heavy.

N320. Yes - I am inclined to ignore the pattern for now and just run based on function.

My A01 did this too and it functioned 100%. I also used N320 and it was at 137pf.
